Vintage cars redefine the glory on Independence Day
Udupi: Taking down to the streets the joy of driving the vintage cars, Auto Club Udupi added new colours to the vintage cars by organising a rally of the vintage cars here on August 15.
The vintage cars included the Plymouth 1929, Morris Major, Fiat Padmini and many others. They were supported by the Royal Enfield Club, United Riders.
Associate Prof Dr Afzal PM of the Auto Club said that the programme is being organised to recognise the veterans who have been maintaining the vintage cars with great pride and honour. It is not just honouring the veterans of the vintage cars but also recognising the service of the technicians who have supported to maintain the cars.
The technicians Rashid who maintains the Royal Enfields and Vasanth who maintains Vintage cars were honoured. The cars owned by Prakash Shetty, Ganesh Udyavar, Kamath, Karnad and Harshad were displayed. The cars were later driven on the streets with a show of their glory.
