Violence in Kaval Byrasandra, SDPI Leader Arrested
Bengaluru: The police have arrested an SDPI leader in connection with the violence in Kaval Byrasandra here on August 12.
On August 11, a mob gathered in front of MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy’s residence in Kaval Byrasandra and pelted stones after a derogatory post on social media by his relative.
It is learnt that SDPI leader Muzammil Pasha along with others had gone to the police station to file a complaint against Naveen for allegedly posting a derogatory post on Facebook. Muzammil later instigated the mob to pelt stones at the Congress MLA’s house and also set vehicles on fire.
In this connection, SDPI leader Muzammil Pasha has been arrested by the police. Muzammil Pasha had contested and lost in the BBMP elections from the Sagayapura ward.
