Vroom…’Petrolheads’ Galore at the ‘Royal Enfield Rider Mania’ at Vagator Hills-Goa
Vagator -Goa: Royal Enfield Rider Mania, an annual gathering of bullet owners and riders, is back in Goa with its 2017 edition. The 2017 Royal Enfield Rider Mania kicked off on Friday, 17 November in sunny, Goa. The annual Royal Enfield riders gathering is spread over three days from Nov 17-19, and promises to be bigger and better than last year. Popular for its celebration of Royal Enfield motorcycles and biking brotherhood, the Rider Mania witnesses participation from thousands of RE enthusiasts. This year alone, the event had received 6114 registrations. There is music, interactive sessions, motorcycle races and a lot more.
This world’s largest gathering of Royal Enfield enthusiasts held in Vagator Hills near the scenic Vagator Beach – its dedicated venue. Brand Royal Enfield enjoys a cult following among bikers in India and abroad, and since making its first motorcycle in 1901, Royal Enfield has been the oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production. The ardent following is also partly because the brand organizes and supports many motorcycling events and rides globally, more prominently, the Rider Mania that happens in Goa annually, attracting riders from all over the world to Goa, among a few others events. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise for these riders who had registered for the festival with over a month to go.
The festival, like every year, is back with a lot of action spread across its duration of three days. There is a plethora of motorcycling events, talks, competitions and surprises in store for the ‘Bullet enthusiasts’ who had made their way to Goa from all over the nation and globe. Be it the custom motorcycling exhibition, motorcycling art showcases, the signature dirt track race and Trials, or the appealing moto gear and apparel combined with authentic Goan cuisine, all added to a tempting experience for participants at Rider Mania. Rider Mania is the ideal platform where the signature ‘Thump’ unites. The event comprises of Dirt Track race, Dirt Track Training Session, Slow race, Maze Chase, Trials, Early Risers, Ring Toss, Assembly Wars, Carry Your Bike, Riding Programs etc

Enfield Riders belonging to the “Mangalore Bulls”, who had taken a ride all the way from Mangaluru to Goa-the team members are- John D’Silva, Mallikarjun & Mrs. Mallikarjun, Aravind, Anthony, Arbaaz, Sharath, Binod, Sudheer, Ajay, Saleem, Khifayathulla, Shuaib and Dr. Abraham Zachariah.
Riders across various states including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Kerala, Mumbai, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab, were seen gearing up for the festival with pre-Rider Mania rides. Rider Mania (RM) is an event hosted by Brotherhood of Bulleteers Motorcycling Consortium (BOBMC) member clubs in India every year. It is the annual gathering of Indian Royal Enfield motorcycle owners. The event was initiated by Vernon Dias in 2003 to commemorate the spirit of motorcycling. Riders and biking clubs across the country gather for the three-day fest. Rider Mania dates back to 2003 when it was first hosted in Goa and approximately 74 bikers attended. Rider Mania 2004 was again organized in Goa on the 10th of Jan at Riva resorts in North Goa and approximately 130 bikers attended- and this year (2017) over 6000 bikers had registered, apart from many other Enfield riders just joining in the fun and Frolic.
Team Mangalorean also met with a bunch of Enfield Riders belonging to the “Mangalore Bulls”, who had taken a ride all the way from Mangaluru to Goa-the team members are John D’Silva, Mallikarjun & Mrs. Mallikarjun, Aravind, Anthony, Arbaaz, Sharath, Binod, Sudheer, Ajay, Saleem, Khifayathulla, Shuaib and Dr. Abraham Zachariah. Two other teams from Mangaluru, namely the Frontline Enfield Showroom Team; and “Moto Clownz” have also joined in the fun at Riders Mania.
