VVSP to hold Mega Recruitment Drive ‘Udyoga Mela’ in Puttur – Prabhakar Bhat
Mangaluru: “Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur, a household name in and around Dakshina Kannada has embellished its footprints in moulding and has educated and cultured youth through culture-oriented education. It has been successful in contributing youth which in turn contributes to Nation Building. With the same objective, Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha has 54 institutions ranging from Shisahumandira to Engineering college. It is a step ahead to prove that its students establish themselves in respectable positions in the society”, said the president of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat in a press meet held at Hotel Ocean Pearl here on January 4.
Addressing the mediapersons Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat said, “For the first time the history of VVSP, we have stepped forth to organize a mega recruitment drive “Udyoga Mela”, in its sprawling campus in Puttur. Keeping in mind the necessity of job creation and to tackle unemployment and underemployment problems among the rural youth, this initiative is being put forward. It is the vision of the management to provide employment opportunities to the rural youth, so that they find ways to settle in life, thus realizing their potential.”
He also said, “This Mega recruitment drive is scheduled to be held on January 13, more than 300 companies have been approached. Many companies and organizations from in and outside the state have assured to arrive at the event for providing recruitment and therefore, employment opportunities to the youth of this area. Companies related to fields such as information technology, real estate, banking, retail, manufacturing etc will participate in this recruitment drive. The Udyoga Mela will be inaugurated by the Central minister of Skill development and entrepreneurship Rajeev Pratap Rudy.”
He further said, “Empowered with the noble intention of spreading the message of social progress and empowerment, Vivekananda Vidhyavardhaka Sangha with more than 100 years of fruitful, progressive existence in the educational sector is launching, “Radio Panchajanya” by the society and for the society. In a similar and parallel mode to the knowledge base prevalent in the written medium of communication, our society has a great treasure of knowledge and wisdom that shines forth through everyday speech. In a move to spread this treasure of wisdom from person to person and to fulfill the noble deed of sharing of one’s voice and experience. The launching ceremony of Radio Panchajanya will be held on January 13 by the Minister of state for the ministry of commerce, Industry, and Finance Nirmala Seetharaman”.
