To establish long-term engagement and to create an environment which promotes learning between states by sharing best practices and experiences. Through this innovative, measure the knowledge of culture, traditions and practices of different states and UTs which will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between the states, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India. All states and UTs will be covered under the programme”.

Sharing their experience Vibhu from Uttarakhand said, “We are all from Uttarakhand, we live in hilly regions. The weather in Uttarakhand is very cold. We have crossed 6 states to arrive in Karnataka. We were very much excited to see the beaches in Mangaluru. In the beginning, we were thinking about how we would spend 15 days in Karnataka thinking that the weather and food here would not suit us. But after coming here we feel that 15 days are very less to see Karnataka state. We have enjoyed the beaches, Churches, Mosques and Temples in Mangaluru. The food is very delicious, earlier we had only heard about Idli sambar but now we love the delicacies of Mangaluru. The people of Mangaluru are very friendly and we are touched by the hospitality here.”

Vibhu further said, “In Uttarakhand, we do not have much job opportunities compared to Karnataka. After seeing Karnataka we felt like we are in another world. In South Karnataka, we were very lucky to watch the Kambala. We have seen all the beaches and enjoyed well. After seeing all the places and the development in Karnataka, we the youth from Uttarakhand have got an opportunity to think of developing our region. In Uttarakhand, landslides are common, our farms and fields are always destroyed by the wild animals. We are very thankful for the hospitality given to us during our stay in Mangaluru.”

Rachana from Uttarakhand shared her experience and said, “When we started our journey to Karnataka we were not so comfortable and were thinking about how we would pass our days here. But after coming here we feel like we are in another world. In Karnataka, people respect each other and even treat everyone equally. In Uttarakhand, we do not have any beaches. After coming to Mangaluru we are happy seeing all the beaches and have very well adjusted to the weather. Now we feel like staying back because of the good hospitality and the people in Mangaluru.”
