Website and Newsletter of Milagres/Falnir Wards Residents Assn. Launched
Mangaluru: Milagres and Falnir Wards Residents Association (R) Attavar, Mangaluru has released the first issue of their in-house newsletter “REACH” and also launched the Website of the association for the benefit of residents of these two wards. The function started with a Prayer Dance by the students of Roshni Nilaya. B Dharmana Naik, President of the association welcomed the dignitaries and the participants. C A Shenoy, Vice-President of the Assn. gave a brief note about the News Letter and Website.
J R Lobo, Mangaluru City South MLA released the News Letter, while Jacintha Vijaya Alfred, Ex-MCC Mayor launched the website. Abdul Rauf, MCC Corporator was the Chief Guest, while Dharmana Naik presided over the function. Addressing the gathering, J R Lobo, complimented the Association for having done good work in getting the service from the City Corporation and other agencies for getting redressal of the problems faced by the residents of these two wards and also appreciated for having brought out the News Letter for the benefit of the residents. He also stated that Mangaluru being proposed as “SMART CITY” the services and suggestion from the Association are essential for the implementation of the Project.
During the occasion, the Association honoured the MCC Corporators Jacintha Vijay Alfred and Abdul Rauf for the excellent work carried out by them in these two wards to make the life of the residents peaceful and comfortable. Selma D’Souza, Secretary of the Assn. spoke about the various works carried out by Jacintha Alfred. C A Shenoy gave an account of the work done by Abdul Rauf.
Jacintha and Abdul Rauf complimented the Association for their co-operation and guidance to carry out the development works in these two wards. Both of them stated that majority of the demands placed before them have been fulfilled and said that they will continue to carry out the work for a peaceful and comfortable living for the citizens of the two wards.
Dharmana Naik, President of the Assn. complimented both the corporators for the excellent work carried out in these two wards under the leadership of J R Lobo, MLA of the constituency. The students of Roshni Nilaya under the leadership of Sr. Colin presented a dance performance conveying the message of unity among the different religions to live in peace and harmony. Khalid member of the Assn. entertained the audience by singing old melodious Hindi songs. Zita Farias, Joint Secretary of the Assn. delivered the vote of thanks. Lovie Rebello compered the programme.
