Website Impact! Minister Ramanath Rai Visits Aadhar Center, Assures to Start Correction Center at Bapuji Seva Kendra

Mangaluru: On August 21, a news “Appointment Token for Aadhar Card, Serpentine Queue Witnessed at DC Office”, was published on www.mangalorean.com. About a 100-meter long serpentine queue was witnessed at the DC office to get an appointment token for Aadhar Card registration and corrections. Team Mangalorean had also visited the Aadhar card center along with the transgenders for corrections in their Aadhar cards. When an unusually long queue was noticed, team Mangalorean thought of highlighting the issue and bring it to the notice of the concerned authorities. Speaking to some of the people in the queue and the problems they faced to obtain the Aadhar card a report was published on www.mangalorean.com.

As soon as the news was published on www.mangalorean.com the team member got a call saying that the problems people faced to obtain an Aadhar card were noticed by Minister Ramanath and that he would visit the Aadhar card center on August 22 and direct the concerned staff accordingly.

After visiting the center, Speaking to the mediapersons Ramanath Rai said, “Nowadays Aadhar card has been made mandatory. At present, there are 23 centers in the entire district. As of now, more people come for corrections in their Aadhar cards. The state government has decided to open Bapuji Seva Kendras in every gram Panchayat to take care of the corrections on the Aadhar Card”.

Speaking to mangalorean.com Mayor Kavitha Sanil said, “Now since the Aadhar card has been made mandatory by the government people are found standing in long queues to get the Aadhar. I am ready to arrange for a space in the MCC to open two to three counters for enrolling the Aadhar cards. I am concerned of people who come from far away places and have to stand in the queue to get the tokens. I have requested the DC to make arrangements to speed up the process of Aadhar card registrations at the Mangaluru City Corporation”.

DC Dr Jagadeesha, ADC Kumar and others were also present.
