WERC Holds First Ever ‘Coastal Cyclothon 2018’ for Students in Mudipu

Mangaluru: SRS Global Industry Solutions, WE R Cycling Club (WERC) hosted “Trinx Coastal Cyclothon 2018”, a district level inter-school cycle race at Ira Hills Mudipu for the first time in Mangaluru on January 28.

The primary objective of hosting the “Trinx Coastal Cyclothon 2018” is to develop a culture of competitive cycling among youngsters in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. This initiative has been taken to promote competitive cycling spirit among the kids and identify talents to elevate them to the National and international cycling stage.

Trinx Costal Cyclothon 2018 was inaugurated by Sandeep Jha, Sudhakar and Rajesh, SRS Global Industry Solutions.

Ten different schools from Mangalore participated in the “Trinx Coastal Cyclothon 2018” cycle race.

The Cycle race was held for two categories, 11-13 age (3.6 Km) and 14-16 age (6.3km) for boys and girls.

The following are the Winners in each category:
11-13 age Boys(3.6 Km)

Winner Saif Sheikh from Lourdes central school
1st Runner-up Mayan Rhys Sequeira, St Theresa high school.
2nd Runner-up Mohammad Nadeem, Cascia high school.

11-13 age Girls (3.6Km)

Winner Ashel D’silva Cambridge.

14-16 age Boys(6.3 Km)

Winner Sahim Mohammad, Lourdes central school.
1st Runner-up Blannan Dion Semento, St Aloysius high school.
2nd Runner-up Durgesh N G, St Aloysius high school.

Medals and certificates were distributed to all participants. Race winners were awarded cash price and certificates.

WE R Cycling Club president Sarvesha Samagha, Vice-President Shyamprasad Nayak and Rajesh, S I Mubeen, Mohan M were also present.
