Los Angeles, May 11 (IANS) Veteran Hollywood actor Al Pacino, whose character in “Danny Collins” discovers a 40-year-old undelivered letter written to him by singer John Lennon, says that in real life too he has received mails from actor Marlon Brando and actress Barbara Stanwyck.
In the upcoming film “Danny Collins”, Pacino plays a 1970s rocker.
“I got some letters, but believe it or not I got a telegram from Marlon Brando once and I felt I wasn’t in this world. I also got a letter from the great actress and movie star; her name was Barbara Stanwyck,” Pacino said in a statement.
“I have them all framed up in a special place in my house. Not very different from the story of his upcoming movie, Al Pacino is undoubtedly one lucky man,” Pacino added.
Directed by Dan Fogelman, “Danny Collins” is inspired by a true event and tells the story of a washed up ageing rock musician played by Pacino, who changes the course of his life after discovering a 40-year-old undelivered letter written to him by singer John Lennon.
This movie is set to release and entertain the Indian audience on May 15.
