Corrine Rasquinha-Founder of NGO White Doves, a Angel of an Entrepreneur

Corrine is an angel of an entrepreneur. She does a different kind of entrepreneurial work. Her motivation to be a social entrepreneur, transpired from having a miracle baby, when her ability to conceive a child was ruled out by the medical doctors and later, she also survived cancer in its 3rd stage. During the treatment for the cancer, she suffered a second blow from Acute Hepititus B. These great miracles have made her to pledge her new tenure of life to a divine call for feeding the hungry and making home for the shelter-less in her hometown.

corrine-rasquinha-20161123Over many a years, she had silently accumulated the seed capital through her gift of music by conducting orchestras, choirs, musical nites and selling CDs of her performance. The organization started by her ‘White Doves’ is well known in Mangaluru. She has also nurtured the seed of music in many a youngsters. Today, if Mangaluru has abundance of musicians of all ages, good part of the credit can go to Corrine. She has set up a home for the destitute and has tried to rebuild their lives. Acknowledging her labor of love, she receives generous contributions from friends and well-wishers. She has educated many a youth who could not afford to pay the fees. Every evening you will find Corrine going round the city searching for hungry mouths and distributing food packets to them. She’s ready to set up a 200 bed hospital for the people.
