Los Angeles, May 21 (IANS) An artificial version of the late singer Whitney Houston was supposed to make its debut during the finale of “The Voice”. However, it seems like those behind the hologram had second thoughts after footage of its duet with singer Christina Aguilera leaked online.
The video featured Aguilera and Houston singing a medley of hits, including “I have nothing” and “I’m every woman”. Pat Houston has confirmed that the performance will not be broadcast, reports mirror.co.uk.
He explained that it had nothing to do with Aguilera’s performance and was instead because the hologram ‘must be perfect’ first.
“We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists,” a statement read.
“Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect.
“Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air.
“We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless.”
Houston passed away when she drowned after suffering from a heart attack while in the bath in February 2012.
Hailey Baldwin denies feuding with Selena Gomez
New York, May 21 (IANS) Model Hailey Baldwin has shot down rumours that she is feuding with singer Selena Gomez over pop star Justin Bieber.
“I think it sucks that people try to start things like that. There’s never any truth to that, first of all,” Baldwin told usmagazine.com.
“She’s a lovely girl. She’s very kind. Her and I have a lot of mutual friends and it’s all cool between everybody. We run in the same circles,” she added.
Rumours about Gomez, who is Bieber’s former girlfriend, and Baldwin’s feud started a few months ago, after the model went public with Bieber in January. They were photographed together numerous times on multiple occasions. Some of the images showed the duo getting close and even kissing.
Gene Simmons claims he slept with ‘4800 women’
Los Angeles, May 21 (IANS) Controversial Kiss frontman Gene Simmons has claimed he bedded 4,800 women during his years with the band.
The 66-year-old rocker said that he didn’t do drugs during his rock ‘n’ roll days, but he did have sex, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“I didn’t do drugs in the crazy times but I did do sex. Did I sleep with 4,800 women? So they tell me. I did have the Polaroids to prove it, oh yes,” Simmons told The Sun newspaper.
He finally married his partner of 28 years, former Playboy model Shannon Tweed, in 2011 and the couple gathered the evidence of Simmons’s wild days and “burned” them as a sign of their commitment to one another.
“Most of them were burned. Shannon and I got together with them and we had a ritual,” he said.
Simmons says it all turned around for him when he and Shannon, 59, had their children Sophie, 23 and Nick, 27.
“I never knew what a big deal it was before Shannon and I had kids. I never cared about it, I didn’t want to get married or have kids. But when they were born I was at the hospital crying like a 12-year-old girl,” he said.

Elkann on Thursday celebrated an auction prize by planting a kiss on auction host Thurman. Her representative shares that the act was sheer opportunism, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Her representative said: “It is opportunism at it’s worst. She wasn’t complicit in it…It looks like she was happy to have it happen, but it was not consensual.”
Elkann won the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show experience, which includes two tickets to the 2016 show as well as two tickets to the exclusive after party.
The actress attended the event, established to raise funds for the fight against AIDS, in Cannes in a floor-sweeping gown.
Did Kris prevent leak of Tyga-Kylie sex tape?
Los Angeles, May 21 (IANS) Reality TV personality Kris Jenner has reportedly talked with rapper Tyga to prevent the leak of his rumoured sex tape with his former girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
On how the 60-year-old managed to convince Tyga to drop his plan, a source told hollywoodlife.com: “Kris has helped Tyga with several behind the scenes business deals and helped him secure a little capital for a few ventures. In her mind, he owes her”.
“She has been talking with him about this charade and she is certain that no tape or cell phone video of Kylie in any uncompromising situation will see daylight,” the insider added.
Kylie, 18, had been dating the 26-year-old Tyga for two years but the two called time on their relationship a few weeks ago with lack of trust blamed for the split.
