Why Congress Holding MP Nalin Responsible for Delay in Pumpwell Flyover Work? – Harikrishna Bantwal
Mangaluru: “On August 1, the Congress party workers burnt the effigy of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel for the delay in construction of the Pumpwell Flyover work. We will not respond to it but I ask why the Congress party is holding MP Nalin responsible? MP Nalin’s work is to bring funds from the Central government and it is the duty of the administration and those in power to implement it. In four years MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has brought Rs 14,000 crores for the development of Dakshina Kannada district”, said the spokesperson of BJP Harikrishna Bantwal in a press meet held at the BJP Office here on August 2.
Addressing the mediapersons Harikrishna Bantwal said, “The Congress is blaming the MP for the delay in the Flyover work but until 2016 the design for the Pumpwell flyover was not ready. Oscar Fernandes has visited the Pumpwell flyover spot 10 times. Whose government was in power 10 years ago to blame MP Nalin? Why was no work done when the Congress was in power in the centre? Now MP Nalin is trying his best to complete the Pumpwell flyover work. To complete the flyover work in Thokkottu three buildings could not be demolished yet because of minister U T Khader’s interference.”
BJP Leaders Jitendra Kottari, Sanjay Prabhu and Ganesh Hosabettu were also present.
