Will field Winning Candidates in Every Constituency – Monappa Bhandary
Mangaluru: “There is no confusion in the party on the selection of candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections. National president Amit Shah will finalize and announce the list of candidates. Until then, party workers should not reveal to the media on the selection of candidates. The decision of the National president in the selection of the candidates is final. If any party worker reveals the list of candidates before the announcement by the National President to the media action will be taken against them”, said the district election in-charge Monappa Bhandary in a press meet held at the BJP office here on April 13.
Addressing the media persons Monappa Bhandary said, “We have no differences within the party members but the Congress is confused in selecting the candidates and is involved in spreading rumours about the selection of the BJP candidates. We have taken all the measures to contest the forthcoming elections in DK. We have formed booth-level committees consisting of 12 members. Nava Shakti is working for the success of the party. The Mahila Morcha has organized conventions in 53 Shakti Kendras. The campaign started by the Mahila Morcha will conclude on April 14. The Mahila Morcha has highlighted the achievements of the Modi government and the projects implemented by former CM Yeddyurappa. We are confident of winning 150 seats in the forthcoming assembly elections with our selection of the right and winning candidates”.
When asked about the confusion within the party which is not visible in Congress, Monappa Bhandary said, “We are waiting for the National President to announce the names of the candidates. We want our candidates to win the elections. We have strictly warned the party workers not to reveal anything about the candidates to the media until national president Amit Shah announces the final list. Action will be taken against those speak about the selection of candidates to the media.”
BJP leaders Kishore Rai, Ravi Shankar Mijar and Nitin Kumar were also present.
