I will never leave BJP, ‘Congress-Mukt Karnataka’ is our dream – Raghupathi Bhat Clarifies
Udupi: The assembly elections are nearing, various party leaders have started to jump from one party to another. Some days back there were strong rumours being spread that the State Minister for Sports, Fisheries and Udupi district in-charge Pramodh Madwaraj is likely to leave the Congress party and join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Many times Pramod has clarified his stand and now it is the turn of BJP’s most loyal leader, the former Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat the main opponent of Pramod Madhwaraj to clarify his stand.
On Wednesday in the Social media Whatsapp and Facebook, rumours were being spread that former Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat is likely to leave the BJP and join the Indian National Congress. Dakshina Kannada district minister in charge Ramanath Rai had taken the leadership of bringing Raghuapthi Bhat to the Congress and on November 19 Ragupathi Bhat will be Joining the Congress party in the presence of the Chief Minister.
The post had gone viral in the Social media. When mangalorean.com contacted Raghupathi Bhat, he clarified saying “A few congress party workers are spreading the fake news in the Social Media by stating that I will be joining the Congress party. This is really a hoax. This is the Joke of the Year. In the last elections, my party had denied me the ticket, but I have worked honestly and supported the party candidate. I cannot imagine joining the Congress Party.
From morning until night I am organizing meetings with the party Office Bearers and Karyakartas of different Wards and Booths of the Udupi Assembly Constituency for the success of the Parivartana Yatre and to bring the BJP back to power in Karnataka. We are working hard to achieve our dream of ‘Congress-Mukt Karnataka as well as Congress – Mukt Udupi’ after defeating the ruling Congress party in the state in the Upcoming Assembly polls, he added.
