We Will Not allow BJP to Make Karnataka another Gujrat Model – U T Khader
Mangaluru: “We will not allow BJP to make Karnataka another Gujarat. Karnataka has its own identity and the people of Karnataka are retaining the tradition and culture. When the election is nearing the BJP is trying to create confusion in the minds of people by giving false statements. People of Karnataka should not be confused with the statements of the BJP”, said the Minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader in a press meet held at Circuit House here on October 4.
Addressing the mediapersons U T Khader said, “During the last elections the BJP had made many promises in their manifesto but they did not fulfill any of them. Now since the National President of BJP Amit Shah has visited Karnataka, he should reply to the people about the promises made during the elections and why they failed to fulfill them. BJP had promised to bring back the black money and stabilize the economy of the country but it never happened.”
U T Khader further said, “During the elections, BJP said that if they come to power they will give a befitting reply to Pakistan but that too never happened. The BJP government also said that it would create 1 crore jobs which also has not materialized so far. Farmers did not get any facilities. Petrol, Diesel and gas price has not been reduced. The BJP assured of arresting underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The BJP has even failed in the demonetization and the implementation of GST. All the promises made by the BJP during the elections have not been fulfilled. Amit Shah should now reply to the people about what happened to the promises made during the last elections.
U T Khader also said, “When Rajiv Gandhi was provided security the BJP had criticized it. Now when Amit Shah has been given Z-plus security including a bulletproof car. MP Shobha Karandlaje has criticized the state government as “Loot ki Baat” but people are aware of who had gone to jail? Who looted the state and who is visiting the court ?”
Subsidy for Kerosene: The traditional boat owners face problems in getting subsidy for kerosene. Let all the fishermen link their bank account to the Aadhar card. We will give them 2 months to link their bank account with Aadhar until then fishermen can get kerosene in the old system. The state government has allocated Rs 60 crore and if the Fisheries department will take responsibility for the funds, the food department will transfer the funds,” said Khader.
