Wilson D’Souza Elected President of Tulu Koota Kuwait
Kuwait: Tulu Koota Kuwait held their Annual meeting at the Indian Community School, Salmiya, here on December 9.
The Meeting commenced with the Kuwaiti and Indian National Anthems sung by the Tulu Koota Kuwait kids followed by an invocation. The members of the Managing committee inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
The Annual Report was presented by the General Secretary Vijay Kumar Kairangal. The Audited Annual Financial Report for the year 2016 was submitted by the treasurer Rajesh Mendon. Both the reports were approved by the members of the association. Chandrahas Shetty, welfare officer briefed on the welfare projects and grants given under the Kshema Nidi during the year. The President of TKK Harish Bhandary, in his speech, summarized the various activities and achievements of the association during his tenure and thanked the members for their support, guidance and co-operation throughout his tenure.
As a token of encouragement, a Certificate of appreciation was presented to all the children who had participated in “Parbada Minadana” during the Tulu Parba 2016. The association honoured and bid farewell to the talented Committee member Praveen Kotain and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Later the members of the new Managing committee were elected unanimously. The former Vice president Wilson D’Souza was elected as the President of TKK for the year 2017.

The newly elected President, Wilson D’Souza, in his speech, thanked all the members for accepting and electing him. He also stressed that his team will give priority to charity work. He informed that the previous welfare project under the banner of “Glimmer of Hope” and “Project Education” will continue.
There was a cultural programme. The Koota also celebrated Christmas by cutting the cake and Santa Claus distributed sweets to the children. General Secretary Jagadeeshwar Shanubogue delivered the vote of thanks.
