Vision of Warriors Cricket Club is: To use cricket to improve lives and create opportunities; To be a world class cricketing organization and to be number one in Qatar. And their Mission is: “To sustain, develop and grow Qatar cricket in order to be successful in the enterprise of cricket, while achieving a healthy Qatari society in line with the aim of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Mangaluru: To give a brief history of the Original Warriors Cricket Club (WCC) -the Club was founded in 2013 with a bunch of friends who share the same interests and enthusiasm. Warriors Cricket Club is one of the 08 premier level Cricket Clubs in the state of Qatar. They were established in 2013, with Mangalorean Kushal Kumar, an entrepreneur in Qatar as the founding member, one of the most famous and influential cricketers in Qatar / Middle East cricket history. Their main objective was to be a member of the Qatar Cricket Association, Qatar Olympic Committee and to take part in the activities of the QCA. Later on, their dream was expanded not only to promote and encourage the game of cricket at all levels throughout Qatar but also provide support to and resources for the local community-To strengthen the bonds between the Club and local communities in Qatar as well as developing and maintain the Warriors Cricket Academy for playing and coaching cricket and so to provide the best possible paid facilities for Members, Qatar Communities.
The Club is based in the heart of Doha, in the West Bay area-their home and main ground, The Qatar Foundation Cricket Ground, Education City. WCC has recently undergone a complete development to secure premier level Cricket in Doha and has transformed the Club’s facilities for cricket training and for community events. The Club has a strong focus on developing cricketers of all age with many of the current Division A and Division C players, many more individual and teams to be developed through the upcoming Warriors Cricket Academy. A major emphasis is placed on developing relationships with the local community. Their close partner Qatar Cricket Association under the patronage of Qatar Olympic Committee is responsible for the development of recreational cricket across Qatar and WCC is entirely supported on the initiatives.
It is learnt that Warriors Cricket Sports and Trading will soon open cricket training programs that seek to encourage healthy habits among all population of Qatar. Warriors are committed to providing high-quality coaching to all age groups especially kids and aim to achieve a healthy Qatari society in line with the aim of Qatar National Vision 2030, to ensure the next generation can make a meaningful contribution to a realization of a knowledge-based economy. And with Mangalore Premier League Cricket tournament kicking off their fourth version of MPL from 20th March to 01st April 2018 played at B.R.Ambedkar Cricket Stadium, NMPT, Mangaluru, Warriors Cricket Club (WCC) will be playing in the tournament under the name of “WISE WARRIORS SURALPADY (WWS)”.
The MPL “Wise Warriors Suralpady” players meet was held at Hotel Ocean Pearl-Mangaluru, on Saturday, 24 February 2018, where the managers and players interacted with each other and joined in the photo session followed by a sumptuous buffet dinner. In his welcome address and briefing about the Warriors Cricket Club-Qatar, Iqbal Hassan- the Operation Manager of Wise Warriors Suralpady said, “Warriors Cricket Academy “The Home of Cricket in Qatar” under the umbrella of Warriors Cricket Sports & Trading, is passionate about developing cricketers of all ages and abilities and helping them fulfill their cricket potential whether it is to play for their school, local club or their country. We have developed a wide range of coaching programs and an extensive coaching network to deliver sessions for school students, individuals, groups and clubs.”

He further said, “Our Academy is committed to providing high-quality coaching to all age groups especially kids and aim to achieve a healthy Qatari society in line with the aim of Qatar National Vision 2030, to ensure the next generation can make a meaningful contribution to a realization of a knowledge-based economy. Also speaking on the occasion, Manas Jain, the Manager of WWS giving details of his team said, “As they say winning is not important, but participation is. But we should make a point to win with great practice and determination. WWS should try hard and come out in flying colors as the winners in MPL Cricket Tournament 2018. Keep your motto “Born To Conquer” to the highest level, and conquer the trophy that is waiting for us. Wish you all best of luck- start practicing and aim big”. All the 14 players, including a few standby players, came forward and introduced themselves to the audience, and promised to give their best in the tournament.
Other dignitaries on the dais were-Chief guest for the meet, Entrepreneur Mehboob; Josheela Lobo- the Brand Ambassador; Abdul Khader- the Managing Director; Noor Ul Alam- Logistic Manager; and Rizwan Shareef-Public Relation Manager. Sheik Mohammed Kaif – the Marketing and Media In-Charge also graced the occasion and handled all the arrangements for the smooth transaction of the players meet. The comperes of the event were Merula Pinto and V J Dev. The formal function ended with a bunch of photo shoots of the managers and players, followed by a sumptuous buffet dinner at Kabab Studio/Hotel Ocean Pearl.
