With passing out parade, 96 Railway Police Constables complete training

Udupi: The ceremonial passing out parade of over 96 Railway constables was held at the Police parade ground here on December 17.

The recruits underwent indoor and outdoor training on a slew of subjects including the functioning of the Railways and handling of various types of modern weapons.

Amar Kumar Pande Additional chief director General of Railways Bengaluru received the guard of honour at the passing out and attestation parade of the newly recruited constables of the 10th batch of Railway police.

In his message Amar Kumar Pande called upon the newly recruited constables to maintain high standards of discipline, training, and devotion to duty throughout their career. He also reminded the Railway Police constables about the role they had to play in safeguarding the railway infrastructure and in preventing crimes on trains. It is the duty of the police personnel to maintain law and order and remain true to their profession.

Superintendent of Police Udupi district K T Balakrishna welcomed the gathering and said that 96 policemen, including 2 from Mangaluru, 2 from Arasikere, 10 from Shivamogga, 11 from Mysuru, 3 from Bengaluru BNC, 5 from Kolara Bangarpete, 3 from Belgaum, 8 from Gadag, 10 from Hubli, 6 from Vijayapura, 13 from Bengaluru City, 6 from Bengaluru Baiyappanahalli, 12 from Bengaluru Rural and 5 from Davangere completed nine months of training in both indoor and outdoor sessions.

Vishunvardhan Additional Superintendent of Police administered the oath to the new constables and read out the report.  Kumarswami delivered the vote of thanks.

J Arun Chakravarthy inspector general of Police western range and Dr D C Rajappa Superintendent of Police for Railways were also present.
