Wolf Moon
The Moon shines and night arrives,
Through trees and crops, I run
Sleep it is that I thirst for
And yet I still see the Sun.
Rivers across, valleys apart
Up above the mountains, I stand
Yearning for the light to shine above
Howling my call across the land.
Prey I chase until it tires
Eat its flesh till there is none
Fireworks I see shoot right through me
My life begins to come undone.
And so it ends my stay on Earth
But to only begin anew
I see my corpse merge with the dirt
And now I am the Moon I knew.
