Woman Commits Suicide after Feeding Sleeping Tablets to Mother and Children
Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a 38-year-old woman served breakfast laced with sleeping tablets and committed suicide at Preethi Nagar in Shaktinagar here on October 10.
The deceased has been identified as Pramila (38) from Shaktinagar.
According to the police on October 10, morning Pramila mixed sleeping tablets in the tea and served it to her mother and two children. After consuming the tea laced with the sleeping tablets, both the children and mother fell sick. When the mother and 15-year-old son woke up in the evening, they found Pramila hanging to the roof of the house, and the 10-month-old Ishabni critical. Ishani was rushed to the hospital, but she breathed her last.
The Kankanady Town police reached the spot for further investigations. The police have found a death note in the house. The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
