Woman Dies after Being Rescued at Ullal Beach
Mangaluru: A Woman drowns while three others were rescued from drowning by the locals at Ullal Beach here, on June 11.
The deceased has been identified as Parimi Ratna Kumari (57) from Andra Pradesh.
According to sources, five women from Hyderabad landed at Mysuru airport on June 6. After touring Mysuru, on June 7, they came to Kodagu by Innova car. On 9 June all of them visited Subramanya Temple and on 10 they visited the Dharmasthala temple and came to Ullal Beach to spend some leisure time.
On June 11, four of the Women including Parimi went to the beach to spend some time. While they were having fun in the water, a strong wave dragged all the four women into the sea. The locals immediately rushed to their help and rescued all of them from drowning but Parimi had lost consciousness. She was rushed to the hospital in Derlakatte but breathed her last in the hospital.
