Woman Dies on Spot After Ambulance Rolls over
Puttur: A woman died on the spot and four others were severely injured after a lorry collided head-on into the Ambulance at Mitthur here on July 16, late night.
The deceased has been identified as Parvathi Naika from Yemaje Mithur.
According to sources, on July 16 late night Vaman Naika who was suffering from Kidney failure was being taken to the hospital by an Ambulance from the Mahaveer Hospital to Mangaluru. At Parlottu, Mithur a lorry collided into the Ambulance resulting in the Ambulance to roll over.
Due to the mishap, Vaman Naika’s wife died on the spot. Vaman Naika, his daughter, brother Lokkayya and a relative were injured in the incident.
All the injured were shifted to the Mahaveer Hospital for treatment. After first aid, they were shifted to the hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.
