Woman DJ arrested in high-profile sex racket case
Mumbai (India Today): A woman DJ who was allegedly part a high-profile sex racket was arrested in Mumbai today.
Police said the disc jockey, who is originally from Jaipur and is wanted in a case there, was involved in honey trapping and blackmailing.
Last year, special operations group of Rajasthan Police had busted a racket in which a group of accused extorted over Rs 15 crore from few men by filming them in sexual acts.
They were blackmailed with threats to lodge rape cases against them.
The accused girl, aged 21 years, is wanted in the case since December last year.
The case was registered on the complaint of a Jaipur-based doctor.
As per the complaint, the woman had convinced him to take her to Pushkar where they stayed at a resort. He was filmed and was asked to pay Rs 1 crore as extortion money.
When the doctor failed to pay, a case of rape was registered and the doctor was also sent to jail.
