Woman found Dead in House at Hemmady, murder suspected
Kundapur: In a shocking incident, a 55-year-old woman was allegedly found dead at her house in Hemmady near Kundapur here on Friday, March 1.
The deceased has been identified as Gulabi Mogaveera (55), a resident of Hemmady. She was selling fish in Hemmady and other areas.
According to sources, the woman was alone at her house when she was found dead. The incident came to light when a neighbour grew suspicious after the 55-year-old lady did not come out of the house till noon. When she entered the house, she found Gulabi lying on the floor in the house. Locals suspect it to be a case of murder for gain. Ornaments she was wearing were missing from her body. Forensic experts have taken the fingerprints from the house.
Cause for the death could be ascertained only after the post-mortem,” a police officer said.
Additional SP Kumarchandra, DySP Kundapur Dinesh Kumar, CPI Kundapur Manjappa, PSI Kundapur Harish and other police officials were visited the spot and collected the information.
A case has been registered in Kudapur Police Station.
