Woman Suspected of Corona virus Infection admitted to KMC Hospital Manipal
Udupi: A 68-year-old woman suspected of being infected with the Corona virus has been admitted to the isolation ward of KMC hospital, Manipal on March 11.
Speaking to media persons, DHO of Udupi said, “A woman from Sagar had gone to Mecca in the last week of February. She was treated in Saudi for fever, cough and breathlessness. After recovery, the patient travelled back to Bangalore where she was screened at the airport. The patient later travelled to Shivamogga and treated again at the Nanjappa hospital for symptoms of fever, cough and breathlessness. The patient family members then decided to bring the patient to KMC Manipal with symptoms of breathlessness.
Samples have been collected at the KMC hospital and sent to Bengaluru, the patient has been isolated and is under observation. Test results are awaited.
