Worker Buried Alive as Earth caves in at Gangolli
Kundpaur: A worker was buried alive and three others injured as the earth caved in while working in an open well at Aloor Grama Panchayat limits of Kundapur Taluk on Thursday, December 6.
The deceased has been identified as Gopal Mogaveera (31). Three others who are injured have been shifted to the hospital.
According to the police, the work of an open well was under progress since the last few days at the residence of Satish Hegde in the Aloor grama panchayat limits. On Thursday while working in the well the mud collapsed on four workers. Three workers were injured while Gopal was buried alive in the well. The body was later retrieved with the help of 2 JCBs.
A case has been registered in the Gangolli Police Station.
