Workshop on ‘Advance Technical Skill Development’ at St Aloysius ITT
Mangaluru : A One day workshop on “Advance Technical Skill Development” was organised in St Aloysius ITI for the students of Electrical and Electronic Mechanic trades on 5th July, 2019. The programme was organised in association with JCI Mangaluru ‘Samrat’ and Synd RSETI, Manipal. The programme was inaugurated by lighting a lamp. Chief Guest of the programme was Manjunath Nayak P- Director of Synd RSETI & Senior Manager of syndicate Bank. Synd RSETI is a rural self employment training institute sponsored by Syndicate bank.
Inaugurating the programme, Mr Manjunath Nayak said, ” We are an organization which encourages people to take up self employment. We want youth to be developed as entrepreneurs and contribute to the development of their home place in addition to improvising the standard of their life. With the surge of educational institutions in and around Mangalore, supply of educated persons is increased, but the demand for them is decreased. The society is facing acute shortage of meaningful employment opportunities. We urge the students to take up entrepreneurship, instead of waiting for the job. This could be an effective answer to the problem of unemployment as it can generate more employment”. He also gave details of training provided by RSETI and assistance provided in setting up one’s own firm.
Honourable Guest Yatheesh KS of JCI Mangaluru and Proprietor of Yati Corp India Pvt Ltd said ” Training adds value to life. In today’s competitive world, the success depends on how different you are from others. Training helps to create that extra difference in the field of your expertise”. Resource persons for the workshop were Mr Pradeep Kumar- State level LCD/LED/Android/Smart/Plasma TV Trainer & Director of Thanmay Technology, Moodbidri and Mr Nagaraj Belgaum- State Level Electrical Trainer & Entrepreneur. They shared their experience about their journey towards entrepreneurship. Rev Fr Cyril D’mello SJ, Director of St Aloysius ITI said, “The purpose of this programme is to add value to your life. Learning is a continuous process. As spring of water continuously adds fresh water to the well, we should keep our skills fresh and relevant by constant updation. I wish this training be fruitful to you and motivate you to rise higher”.
Prior to the programme Vincent Mendonsa- Principal of the institution accorded a cordial welcome. Mrs Subhashini- Junior Training Officer of Electronics trade proposed vote of thanks. Umesh J.A.- Junior training Officer & Convener of the programme compered the inaugural programme. After the programme, students of Electrical trade were given practical training in winding & repairs of electrical appliances and students of Electronic Mechanic trade were given practical training in repairs of LCD/LED/Smart/Plasma TV.
