Workshop on AI and Open Access in Scientific Research to be Held at Roshni Nilaya
Mangaluru: The Department of Research and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, is pleased to announce a one-day workshop titled “Using AI and Open Access to Conduct Scientific Research and Crafting Papers.” The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and will take place at the Maria Paiva Hall within the School of Social Work premises.
The workshop will be inaugurated by Dr. Rameela Shekhar, Director of Manashanthi Research, Training and Counselling Centre, Mangaluru, at 10:00 AM. The session will be led by the distinguished Dr. Amitabh Anand, a Full Professor at Excelia Business School in La Rochelle, France, who is recognized for his expertise in advanced research methodologies.
This workshop aims to equip participants with essential skills for navigating the complexities of literature reviews, which are critical for effective scholarly research. Attendees will delve into the significance of bibliometrics and learn to utilize key databases such as Scopus and Dimensions. Furthermore, participants will gain hands-on experience with VOS viewer software for literature mapping, enhancing their capability to visualize and analyze research trends.
In addition to these topics, the workshop will cover data coding and the presentation of timelines for literature reviews, as well as strategies for identifying research gaps. Participants will also explore how to leverage bibliometric reviews to uncover publication opportunities, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of the research landscape.
