World Tourism day to be celebrated in Padubidri – DC Venkatesh
Udupi: The World Tourism day will be celebrated on September 27 at the Padubidri Beach said T Venkatesh Deputy Commissioner of Udupi.
He was speaking after chairing the District tourism committee meeting on Tuesday August 30.
Various sports and cultural programes will be organized on the Tourism day. Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers to orignase cultural programes through the students of Alvas institutions.
Various Union government aided tourism projects are under progress in Padubidri, Kaup, Trasi, Malpe and Otthinene beach. The projects should be completed as early as possible. KRIDL Officers should monitor the work, he said.
An application has been submitted seeking permission to run a Boat house in the Kallianpur River, DC instructed the tourism department officers to grant permission within a month.
Newly purchased modern beach cleaner machine will be coming Udupi by September 5. The modern beach cleaner machine will be used all beach’s of Udupi district.
Installing CCTV cameras at vital location at the Kaup beach and Preparing International Health City issues discussed during the meeting. The DC instructed officers to submit detailed project proposal to the government for Aquarium in Mannupalla
Nagesh Raikar, Nagaraj, Manjunathaih, Janardhan, Arun Kumar, Sudehs Shetty and others were present in the meeting.
