Xavi renews with Al Sadd for another season
Doha, Jan 27 (IANS) Spanish football player Xavi Hernandez renewed his contract with Qatari side Al Sadd until the end of the 2017-18 season.
The Spanish midfielder, who turned 37 on Wednesday, arrived at Al Saad at the start of the 2015-16 season after 17 seasons with Barcelona, Efe reported on Thursday.
His team is now ranked second in the Qatari league with 40 points, three behind leaders Lekhwiya after 17 weeks.
