YCS Mother Of God Church, Shakthinagar Celebrates ‘Teachers Day’
Mangaluru: Young Catholic Students of Shakthinagar Parish arranged a Teachers Day programme at Mother Of God Church Shakthinagar on September 02nd soon after the first mass. This program was organized for all the teachers in the parish.
Parish Priest Fr Gerald D’Souza was the president for this programme. Fr Paul Crasta (Asst. PP and HM, Kelarai School), Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta (Asst. PP and Asst. Director, Codialbail Press) and William Colaso (Secretary of Parish Council and Teacher) were present. Juliet B. Pinto (Eldest Teacher in the Parish) was the chief guest.
The programme was initiated by a prayer song. Shelton Cutinha (YCS President) welcomed the gathering. Riya Rodrigues spoke about the importance of “Teachers’ day”. A wishing song was sung by the members of YCS. Few games and jokes were conducted. Teachers were felicitated by greeting cards and flowers. William Colaso spoke on the behalf of teachers. Prajwal Saldahana (YCS Secretary) delivered the words of gratitude. Greshal Rodrigues compered the programme. The program was successful and was well appreciated.
