Mumbai, Nov 15 (IANS) “Yeh Ishq Sarfira”, an upcoming action drama, draws from real-life situations of innocent people becoming aggressive due to circumstances in life, says the film’s director Varun Khanna.
“For every crime in the world, there are innocent people who suffer for no fault of theirs. Some innocent persons get afraid after that, lose hope or approach the police to help,” Khanna said.
“But there’s one category of people who become so aggressive due to the circumstances, that they get completely agitated to take revenge and seek justice in their own way,” he added.
“‘Yeh Ishq Sarfira’ highlights the second category of individuals whose innocence gets crushed in the process.”
The film, inspired from real-life incidents, portrays the conflict between two families. It reaches a dangerous point where murder and violence are the only available options. It also traces the metamorphosis of a young boy in love, who becomes an uncontrollable beast during the tumultuous phase.
“The hero of my film, Balbeer (Akhilesh Verma) is a happy-go-lucky, god-fearing boy who’s fully focused on sports in college life. He falls in love with a sweet girl and they have an innocent relationship. But the death of his love fills him with rage and hatred.”
“His innocence not only gets crushed but takes such a dangerous avatar that only draws fear from people. I’ve read about these kinds of incidents in the life of numerous real-life gangsters,” Khanna said.
“Yeh Ishq Sarfira”, also starring Mukesh Tiwari, Oviya Helen and Naina Aswal among others, is produced under the banner Rahul Productions and A.K. Films. It will release on November 27.
