You are reincarnation of Mir Sadiq: Kumaraswamy to K’taka CM Siddaramaiah
Bengaluru: JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy on Tuesday attacked Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, calling him the reincarnation of Mir Sadiq.
Kumaraswamy took to social media and dubbed him as “the modern reincarnation of Mir Sadiq”. Sadiq was a Minister during Tipu Sultan’s rule who conspired with the British. His name characterises a crass traitor.
Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy share a very bitter relationship for the past few years and have often been attacking each other.
Reacting to Kumaraswamy ‘s allegation that Siddaramaiah was also the reason behind the fall of JD(S) government, the latter on Monday said that “it was like the one who cannot dance and blames the stage. Similarly he is alleging in vain”.
Also, reacting to Kumaraswamy ‘s criticism of the CM watching the Australia – Pakistan cricket match, he said that he was in support of the sport and asked, “why was he staying in Westend hotel during his tenure as the CM”. Kumaraswamy had stated that Siddaramaiah and cabinet colleagues had gone there to support the Pakistan cricket team.
Kumaraswamy, taking objections to his comments, maintained, “Mr. Siddaramaiah the proverb ‘one who cannot dance, blames it on the stage’ is correct. However, how far is it correct to wreck the stage before the performance? What should be named for your betrayal to the alliance?”
“The intention was to commit betrayal. You are the reincarnation of Mir Sadiq and these arts are handy. You are talking about it by beating around the bush. Do you fear to state the truth? Come out in the open and state that you are the one who brought down the JD(S) – Congress coalition government. Don’t you have strength?” Kumaraswamy questioned.
“Don’t I know your conspiracies? Do you think you can get away just like that? Your traits are not new to me,” Kumaraswamy slammed Siddaramaiah.
“I have explained why I was in the Westend hotel many times already. But, are you ready to share about the conspiracies you hatched?” Kumaraswamy taunted CM Siddaramaiah.
