‘You Need to Vote for MLA’s J R Lobo and Moideen Bava for their Great Developmental Work, Sincerity, Dedication and Commitment’-MCC Mayor Bhasker K Moily
Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Congress Office, Mallikatta, Mangaluru Mangaluru City Corporation Mayor Bhasker K Moily slamming at the opposition BJP party said, ” These days we are seeing lots of allegations from the BJP on Congress and lots of unwanted negative news, which are far from truth. Through this meting I want to highlight the various projects undertaken by MCC, and we have completed 98% of the projects as promised, and for that we need to appreciate and compliment the efforts and hard work put in our two favorite MLA’s J R Lobo and Moideen Bava”
“Even though the BJP is trying to spit venom through their negative comments on the work done by both the MLA’s, but the people know all these comments by BJP are false and they are only trying to poison the minds of the voters. BJP’s main intention is to concentrate on religion, but we are not campaigning on the basis of community or religion. People of all communities have blessed J R Lobo and Moideen Bava in the last election. And I am confident that they want these two MLA’s to continue their leadership in their constituencies. They are witnesses for the developmental works done by Lobo and Bava in the constituencies. So definitely they will vote for them without any hesitation.” added Mayor.
The Mayor further said, ” Just look at the projects undertaken during the last four years of MCC headed by Congress, which the BJP couldn’t do a partial of them when they were at the helm of MCC few years ago. Compare the developmental work done by MLA J R Lobo during his tenure, and compare the work done by BJP Yogish Bhat, when he was the MLA. Bhat’s work is nil compare to that of Lobo. We are not concentrating on attack and allegations of the BJP. Meanwhile, we are not bothered about their internal issues. We are clear in our agenda and campaign strategy. We have faith in our people, and we know that they will elect both these candidates from Mangaluru South and Mangaluru North to power”
Also speaking during the meeting, former Mayor Sashidhar Hegde said, ” We are the only one who have supplied drinking water without any interruption, through the vented dam project, which was the project of MLA Lobo, under the guidance of Minister Ramanath Rai. Our government has adopted secular principles so as to provide social justice to all, and hence our programmes are also designed in such a way so as to benefit everyone. Opposition parties are dreaming that they will come to power in the next elections and are already distributing portfolios among their leaders. Our programmes for the poor, Dalit and minorities have won the hearts of the people. Hence, even in 2018 Assembly elections we will come to power.”
“Under the Ashraya Housing Project, residential flats for 930 beneficiaries in Shaktinagar were allotted, a project which is the result of a three-year effort put in by MLA J R Lobo to bring this scheme to the locals. This scheme will reach and benefit every household. It is many years since independence, but so many people still do not have a roof over their head. We have seen MLA J R Lobo work hard for his constituency. He has used funds allotted by the government well for development works. No other state in the country has introduced such a scheme till date. Even though hate mongers have put allegations that this scheme is a fraud one, but Lobo had to toil hard for three years conducting several meetings to make it possible.”
“Congress believes in inclusive growth. We never appease any community and keep fundamentalists away. Everyone should live with brotherhood and those who try to spoil harmony should be dealt with. The only problem with the BJP is that they can’t stand the works done by MLA’s Lobo and Bava, so with jealousy they are spreading false rumours and unwanted allegations. I humbly request the voters not to trust such news criticizing someone’s good work, instead strongly make up their minds in voting for J R Lobo and Moideen Bava in the forthcoming Assembly election and see the difference later under their leadership” added Hegde.
MCC Deputy Mayor Mohammed Kunjathbail, Former MCC Mayors Mahabala Marla and Harinath; and Congress leaders Deepak Poojary and Santhosh Shetty were also present on the dais.
