Young Advocate Records Selfie Video and Commits Suicide
Bellary: A 28-year-old advocate consumes poison and committed suicide while recording a selfie video in the bank in Hospet, Bellary here on August 25.
The deceased has been identified as Mahesh (28), from Hospet, Bellary.
According to sources, Mahesh was working as a legal advisor in the Equitas Small Finance Bank. As he was against the illegal activities going on in the bank, he was harassed by the senior officers. Many account holders from the Bellary branch had provided fake documents for the loan. When he had gone to the Bellary City Corporation to verify the documents, he had found the documents were fake. But he was forced to certify that the documents were true.
Mahesh had discussed with his family members the harassment he was facing in the bank, and his family members asked him to quit the job, but he continued to work. Mahesh was not willing to involve himself in any illegal activities, so the Business head and the bank manager had insulted him using foul language.
In his death note written in the Bank letterhead, Mahesh has mentioned the cause of his death.
Mahesh had also recorded a selfie video explaining the reason for committing suicide before consuming the poison.
