  • From Original R.Pai on Bengaluru: Techie Arrested for Derogatory and Threatening Post against CM in Social Media

“Techie Arrested for Derogatory and Threatening Post against CM” – Report I guess the report is slightly misleading. Nobody should be arrested for derogatory remarks as it is protected under free speech. However, threat is not acceptable. In this case, this guy seems to have threatened CM’s life by asking terrorist outfits to assassinate him. I’m glad that Police took action. I don’t think this guy meant what he tweeted – He appears to be an ignoramus based on his tweet. However, threatening has to be dealt with zero tolerance.

  • From Original R.Pai on Udupi: Pejawar Swamiji Honours Narayana Murthy of Infosys with 'Rastra Ratna Award'

Shree Naaraayana Moorthy deserves all the recognition for what he managed to achieve in his life. While he was not the only one who made it happen, he certainly deserves a great share of the recognition. There is another thing that many people are not aware of. There are thousands and thousands of people who worked for Infosys who went onto become karodpatis due to employee stock options!! Thousands of employees (and ex-employees) became karodpatis in their late 20s and early 30s – thanks to generous stock options!! However, I’m not sure about the Radia lady!! Is it not the same lady who was caught on tape a few years ago? By the way, Bakra Dutta was also caught in the same tapes but she continues to be the lead the pack of journalists in India. I guess it explains the sad state of press in India!!

    • From Nelson Lewis on Udupi: Pejawar Swamiji Honours Narayana Murthy of Infosys with 'Rastra Ratna Award'

I like to speak the facts and have the conviction to admit mistakes, whenever I have committed them due to decisions that went wrong. I do not have any icons to stupidly say that, Once a member of Congress or BJP or Chameli Party, I am always its devout follower.” If someone has done mistakes, I vociferously criticise and if someone has done good, I acknowledge it.” This is simply because I do not have any vested interests to praise someone or an axe to grind, even if he has done wrong. I admire Mr. Naryana Murthy and most Indian politicians could learn a thing or two from him about simplicity, honesty and transparency in their lives, rather than foooling the Almighty God by visiting temples of worship to perform various tailor-made rituals. I also admire Azeem Premji and Rattan Tata, who have their own ethics and spend a lot of money on charity.

More than the religion of the parties involved, determinant reasons were not having a child or a male child from the first wife, education and the age of first wife. It found that a polygamous Hindu was likely to have 1.77 wives, a polygamous Muslim 2.55, Christian 2.35, and Buddhist 3.41. http://scroll.in/article/669083/muslim-women-and-the-surprising-facts-about-polygamy-in-india ——————————————————————————————- Well, as you can see, you REALLY have some SERIOUS reading to do before going after certain people with the SAME brush + feathers + tar! Work out the ratios (1.77, 2.55, 2.35 and 3.41 etc) against the populace of say 82%, 14%, 2.2% etc)….. and arrive at REAL numbers. AWESOME, right? 😉 Until then, just stop whinging. The minister Madwaraj almost makes it sound like he is paying from his own pocket. When you say “waived loans worth Rs 2.82 crores..” the loan does not disappear into thin air. It will be paid for through more taxes on people in the future. At this rate the Congres government is going to convert our state into another Bihar in the next 10 years. Nobody complains when everyone gets free money. The problem comes when it comes to paying back, when there is economic downturn and the government is starved of cash to pay for these “bhagya” schemes. Western countries are currently paying for such largesse of the past now. Who knows, the clueless yeddy will be in power again when the shit hits the fan and gets all the blame. People write off Congres easily. In my view they have the best political brains behind the curtains when it comes to running the show. They know which horse to play depending on the circumstances.

What a grand privilege and honor to witness 18 priests completing their golden Anniversary as priests ordained at St. Joseph Seminary, in our very neighborhood, fifty years ago. These 18 priests hailing from different Dioceses all over India and abroad have given total 900 years of Religious service dedicating themselves to the divine will of God. To be a good priests for fifty solid years is a tremendous feeling of pride and satisfaction not only for themselves as priests, but also thousands of others whom they have reached out and touched thru their prayers, blessings and much more. We have left Mangalore more than 59 years ago hence we do not remember any single priest amongst those 18, but we extend our best wishes to one and all of them for a continued and successful priesthood. May God help one and all of them. They are the treasures of our beloved St. Josephs Seminary which has been so dear to us from our childhood.

  • From shAIKh moHD rizwan on Mangaluru: Present Population Trend Moving Towards Making Hindus Minority by 2061 - S V Vadiraj

Dear readers, Time and again, many a leader from right-wing Hindu formations have advised Hindu women to serve the ‘nation’ by producing more children, and interestingly, the celibate ones amongst these advisers are more vociferous on these matters! Disturbed by these projections, Sadhvi Prachi advised that Hindu women should produce 40 children each while Sakshi Maharaj, a BJP member of Parliament, advised four children each for Hindu women. Are the reasons purely religious; the growth of Islam? If they are, then logically, the countries ahead of India (Pakistan and Indonesia) should keep the same pace and remain ahead of India as far as the population of Muslims is concerned. But if gravitation towards Islam is the reason, why should the number of Muslims in India overtake the number in other countries? The argument of religion being the determining factor in matters of population growth, therefore, is invalid. In India, the number of Muslim couples in the child bearing age, practicing family planning in 1970 was at 9 per cent (14 per cent for Hindus) and in 1980, at 22.5 per cent (36.1 per cent for Hindus). [Operation Research Group: Baroda 1981] Thus, the number of additional Muslims taking to family planning is keeping pace with the number of Hindus doing the same. Dr Rakesh Basant, an economist with IIM Ahmadabad and a member of the Sachar committee, points out that at present “there is (only) a 0.7-point difference between the Muslim and the average fertility rates. While the average fertility rate is 2.9, for Muslims it is 3.6.” He emphasises that 37 per cent of Muslims use contraceptives against a national average of 48 per cent. Therefore, contraceptive usage is about 10 percentage points lower among Muslims than the average. Let us have a look at the regional differences in the population growth of Hindus in India. Here, the gross observation is that in the more literate southern states, like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, the percentage rise of even the Hindu population is less than the percentage rise of Hindu population in northern states like UP, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. In December 2005, the then RSS chief [sarsanghchalak] KS Sudharshan had also urged the majority community in a similar manner. He said that 3-4 children per couple would keep the ‘changing religious demography’ in control. Just imagine had any other religious community [like a Muslim cleric from Nadwatul Ulema or Deoband] made such a statement, what would have happened? In conclusion, it would be most appropriate to ask why the census of India has not yet published data according to religion for essential social and economic indicators — such as literacy rates and levels of literacy, work participation rates according to occupation, and the distribution of public employment in national and state governments. Such data highlight the participation of various religious communities in public spaces and also provide a better yardstick to measure equal opportunities in India. The sadhvis and sadhus in Parliament would be better-off shouting slogans that favour the establishment of national- and state-level equal opportunity commissions in India. Also, it is time the Union government established a committee to review the improvement in the social, economic and educational situation of the 175-million strong Indian Muslim community since the Sachar Committee turned in its report. It is this gender imbalance that is really threatening Hinduism [and India]. There are vast regions where there are less than 800 girls for 1,000 boys. Even the upper class and middle-class want the ‘baby boy’. If the first child is a girl, many go for second, in the hope to have a boy. If the RSS leaders take up real issues that affect the nation, they would be taken more seriously. It may also strike chord with the young generation. However, they remain stuck in regressive rhetoric. Sangh also needs to look at itself. Do they have contingency plan to feed the 80 crores with falling economy and high cost of living were who are subjugated within their own caste system? Are these RSS Kanishmari census masters, has any data on malnutrition, unemployment, death rate etc.?? RSS wants Hindus to have more children: Shouldn’t Sangh leaders take up real issues like female foeticide rather than perpetuating old myths? Shouldn’t the swayam-sevaks [volunteers] shun celibacy and marry, in order to increase the numbers of Hindus? Jai Hind

shAIKh moHD rizwan – “Sir, I have allergy to Sangh parivar misusing Hinduism and brainwashing innocents minds.” Janaab, the Sangh Parivar “owns” the Hindus, just like the ISIS “owns” the Muslims. You know why the RSS came into existence? Hedgewar knew in 1925 that the ISIS would come into existence in 2010! You know why RSS is to be supported by all Hindus. It wants to protect the Hindus from the Indian ISIS, a creature of RSS atrocities to be born in India, yet. They want to have 25 crore non – Hindus to become Indian Talibans, and by raising alarm of these Indian Talibans, they want to force their strangle hold on Hindus and India. RSS believes in secretly creating problems to the Hindus, and then openly promising to solve the problems, and then they also promise to emulate the the mighty like the Israelis, and when it comes to the brass tack, they do a “Pathankot” to shame Hindus and India! If the Hindus believe in the so called shield promised by the RSS, Hindus would vanish into the thin air by the enemy created by the RSS. The Hindu Religion, which survived 1000 years of the onslaught by the aggressive alien religions, and which do not owe its survival to RSS or RSS-like upstarts, would certainly be wiped of because of the RSS. RSS does not believe in the eternity built in the Sanatana Dharma and the inherent strength and vitality of this great ancient religion. SHOULD THIS GREAT RELIGION OF MINE BE DESTROYED BY THIS RSS TROJAN HORSE? HINDUS NEED PROTECTION FROM THE RSS AND NOT FROM ANY OTHER RELIGION, FOR OTHER RELIGIONS COULD NOT DESTROY THIS GREAT RELIGION DESPITE 1000 YEARS OF SLAVERY.

Dear readers, It is only in India ‘Ribbon cutting’ and ‘Shila Nyas’ became passion for political circle as if they achieved something great. I would like to ask the Union Minister,do we have an effective ‘Urban planners’ who will think about disable, easy tracker for blinds,UV treated potable water, sanitation, waste disposal while planning in initial stage? For first time I concur with Mr.Original views.Nice observation sir. Will ‘Incredible India’ will ever ‘develop’ beyond this trend? Is these not dent to public exchequers? I would have appreciated if this would have been inaugurated by old man, disable person or pregnant women in the future? None on Indian railways has easy embarking/disembarking for the old people. Platform are designed in such way that even boarding carriage for normal person is difficult task. For the blinds there are no easy walk way or guidelines. • From Nelson Lewis on UAE: Jayaram Shetty A Free Bird Today after A Year - Out from Illegal Confinement in Saudi Jail

What is mentioned in www.mangalorean.com about Mr. Jayaram Shetty has to be true. Saudi Arabia has idiotic police and judiciary, the latter follows the Sharia and the labour laws are, frankhly speaking, farcical. Further, the employers are supreme in Saudi Arabia and if they were to go to the police and make accusations of theft against their employees, then the police will handcuff and put them behind the bars. In an efficient system, the police officers cross-examine the parties’ complaints, witnesses, colleagues and also the parties that are accused of offences and crimes and hunt for documentary or concrete evidence. Only after thorough investigation, the police arrive at who are at fault and who are right, who are lying or concealing facts, who are the culprits and only then they come to a conclusion and file the charge sheet or set the parties that are accused of crime free. Sometimes, such investigations can take weeks or months and, therefore, the prosecution requests the courts for police custody and also extensions. Police in Saudi Arabia are comparable with feudal lords’ hatchet men and courts carry out employers’, powerful people’s or royal family members’ biddings. Everybody works in Saudi Arabia for money and not because that place is a paradise or liberal or Saudis are friendly people or the country is scenic. Scenic! My foot! In fact, most of Saudi Arabia is a vast unending desert with sand dunes rising upto 25-30′. Saudi Arabia. like Australia, has largely an urban population with 90% of the people living in the few cities and towns in that barren landscape, albeit sitting on vast reservoir of crude. If one were to pull out good, large scale maps and look at Australia and Saudi Arabia, one would realise except for certain populated areas, most of the land is not populated at all and probably in many places, man has not put his foot there. In comparison, Oman and Bahrain are paradises. In fact, the fortunate few employees working in large American and other multi-national companies and having both their offices and residences are fortunate lot, because they can watch movies, have privacy and enjoy other things of life which are considered normal in modern age, without the Muttawas (religious police prowling upon them or breathing down their necks. One fanatical element writing a lot on this column will accuse me of speaking bad about the country where I spent a couple of contracts.

Saudi Arabia is probably one of the worst places on this planet to live. It is essentially a one large, open prison for immigrants!!! I don’t think it is worth taking the risk!! It’s beyond me how centuries old mindset and laws are still practiced in 21st century!!! I’m glad that Mr.Shetty is safely back in India. Original R. Pai. I full agree with you. I did have a worst experience couple of years back while driving towards Jeddah port. I made a stop over to buy some water, where the shop was at least 300 mtrs away from the main road. While entered into the shop, the cop communicated with me in Arabic and just bcos I was not able to speak arabic I got harassed. Luckly I had a good cab driver who was an indian and he was able to communicate further. As per him, they wanted money from me since I am on business trip to Saudi. The crime rate is very high in Saudi and the cops too are involved with the culprits. We say there is no corruption, but it is upto the core and more than Egypt I must say. As you said, they shall never get civilised even after 500 or more years to come.

“Saudi Arabia is probably one of the worst places on this planet to live,” by Original R. Pai. Mr. Pai, What you said about Saudi Arabia is perfectly true. There is no human rights, no well-codified laws (but justice is dispensed as per the Sharia, which cannot be considered as body of laws. Koran came much after the Torah and Bible). Therefore, I am told, what is in these holy books contain are also found in Koran, as these were older religions. Koran came into existence in 632 A.D. Unlike Saudi Arabia and other fundmental and highly conservative countries and radical groups, both Jews and Christians do not have anything like the Sharia, because they find these things are not practicable, unimagineable and out-of-date and not in sync in modern era and have developed modern laws to fight offences, crimes and other crimes of serious proportions. Unlike Saudi Arabia, Israel whom it considers as its enemy, has a live-and-let-live attitude to minorities and during the last Ramadhan the Israeli President threw Ifthar for his guests, which obviously had to be Israeli Arabs and Palestinians. Can you think Saudis being liberal, even to a minimal extent, to people of other faiths? The famous doctor and the author of “In a land of invisible women: A doctor’s journey in Saudi Kingdom,” Dr. Qanta A. Ahmed. has admitted that there are mosques for Sunnis, Shias, Ahmadis, besides Churches and I would not be surprised if there are Hindu temples too, considering that there are many Indians who have gone to do PhD and other studies in water conservation and solar energy. Can you imagine these freedoms in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan (the land of the pure or, shall we say, the land of the impure). I personally feel that for any crimes, if people have to spend time in jails – especially the ones lacking skills – they should be taught skills, so that when they are released they can take up jobs and earn livelihood.

Here is some constructive feedback for the organisers so that they can work on it and the next tournament can be better.. this was one of the most chaotic and disorganised tournament I’ve ever been to.. 1. exorbitant entry fees of 1000 per event but basic facilities were not provided 2. Team kumite was 4000 on the invitation but they made last moment change and raised the fees to 5000 3. Shihan bharat Sharma made an announcement right in the middle of the bouts that wkf rules will be followed strictly which meant that competitors had to wear shin guards instep guards gum Shields chest guards groin guards.. some competitors were disqualified from the ring for not having this gear in spite of paying the entry fees 4. the moment the announcement was made competitiors started scampering around for equipment and the protective equipment seller who. had put up a stall at the stadium raised the prices as high as 5 imes… example a 20 Rs worth gum shield was being sold at Rs 100 and 400 Rs chest guard was being sold at 1500 5. though it ws announced that strict wkf rules were followed with regard to. equipment. the fights were only of one minute duration.. which was violation of wkf rules. even before. the. competitors could. realise the fight has started they came to. an end with a blink of an eye.. scoring legitimate techniques was never possible with the one minute flights 6. the hugely announced grand championship fight with 35000 cash prize was never conducted.. 7. spectators and people freely roamed around on the match arena and the organisers had no control. whatsoever on the crowd. 8. there were some. great talented fighters but it was a.n unfair deal for. most of them because of the lack of planning and systematic aproach most of the competitors were disappointed that they didn’t even get a fair deal… Rs. 1000.entry fee for a fight of 1 minute?? RIDICULUOUSLY HIGH.. the strict WKF rules mentioned in this article was only to increase protective equipment sales.. we could. hardly see any rules applied in the matches I’m. sure the organisers will take this feedback which will help them. organise the next tournament in a better way.. and we will see much more happy karatekas

Transfer of Punjab Officer Who Questioned Minister in Drugs Case Revoked http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/transfer-of-punjab-officer-who-questioned-minister-in-drugs-case-revoked-1243465 The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia in a Rs. 6,000-crore international synthetic drug case — a development which could have a bearing on relations between the BJP and its ally, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). The Enforcement Directorate has revoked the transfer of its Assistant Director Niranjan Singh posted at Jallandhar zonal office. Mr Singh was transferred to Kolkata on January 16, days after he questioned Punjab minister Bikram Majithia, a relative of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, in the Rs. 6,000 synthetic drug racket case. It was alleged that the officer was transferred to weaken the case as it was at a crucial stage. The Enforcement Directorate, which investigates financial crimes, has already filed the chargesheet in the case followed by a couple of supplementary chargesheets. The younger brother of Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, wife of Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, Mr Majithia faces allegations of having links with non-resident Indians accused of international money laundering related to the drugs racket. Is PM Modi’s government is afraid of losing an ally in Punjab assembly elections? Why state Governor has not revoked the transfer of an officer in crucial case? Is BJP is the part of synthetic drug mafia? Jai Hind

Good. New Mosques even in small towns show how sanaathana Bharatha continues to be a very tolerant-Atheist Mr.Original Sir,The Sanatan Dharma is tolerant since ages and different faith has lived in peace.Ever since Pakistani born LK Advani took the bloody wheels of RathYatra and sowed the seeds of hate secularism is started to disintegrate. Once religious coexisted and lived together as ‘vasudev kutumbakam’,with the demolition of Babri Masjid foundation of unity has collapsed forever. In pogrom of Godhra under CM Modi another 500 mosques including heritage was brought down along with 2,000 deaths. The ‘Godhra model’ which began in Dang district against Christians was successfully implemented with pre prepared list of Muslim establishments to attacked even before Godhra went to into flame. Then comes the ‘Gaurav yatra’ which made him then Muzaffarnagar carnage to become PM of India. Today VHP calls for Ram Mandir in every village of India.PM Modi’s dream project of ‘Toilet before temple’ gets flushed down the drain. Then Subramanya Swami brings Ram Mandir issue again associating Lord Krishna as marketing tool. There are one after another lynching in Modi’s India.A very good ‘development’ promised under ‘good governance’. This is in fact the campaign for the Cantonal Bank of Zurich in Switzerland, and the artwork has been designed by Swiss designer Nadine Geissbülher. It was formally launched almost a year before we launched ‘Make in India.’ The Indian campaign was launched in September 2014 to profile India as a global manufacturing prowess. The ‘Make In India’ Logo Might Be A Copy Of This Swiss Bank’s Ad Campaign http://www.indiatimes.com/news/india/the-make-in-india-logo-might-be-a-copy-of-this-swiss-banks-ad-campaign-233193.html https://mobile.twitter.com/zkb_ch/status/603455085180497920/photo/1 It was later presented on the ‘Make In India’ tableau on January 26 in the Republic Day parade, which was attended by US President Barack Obama. The Supreme Court slammed the Union government today for spending crores on the Republic Day parade but delaying the payment of compensation to farmers for land acquired from them.
SC slams Centre: 100 Crore for R-Day parade, but no compensation to farmers
“You spend Rs. 100 crores on Republic Day parade but when it comes to payment of compensation to farmers, you file appeals,” Chief Justice HL Dattu told the Centre. • From shaiKH moHd rizwan on Aamir Khan's film 'Dangal' deserves 'treatment': BJP leader

Dear readers, The hullaballoo which followed Aamir khan statement on the eve of an award function exposes the vested upper caste long due grudge against the Minority community. If we scrutinize the comments made against Aamar, majority are upper caste Hindus who want non Hindus to adopt their line otherwise any opposition to them will cost in terms of sullying image, prestige and ultimately threatening eviction from the country. Aamir just spoke what number of intellectual, writers, actors and scientist has been saying since the new Government took power at the Centre. Instead of reaching out to them, they brand them anti national and anti Government. What is noteworthy is that during the process of returning awards right from President Pranab Mukherjee to industrialists Narayan Murthy, Kiran Majumdar Shaw and RBI governor Raghuram Rajan all stated that there is a growing atmosphere of intolerance. Interestingly only Muslim icons were chosen for the intense attacks, doubting their patriotism! Those non Muslims were dubbed as being motivated by political reasons. None dared take on Presidents’ observations. So what does this indicate? Aamir Khan correctly pointed out that response to his statement does finally prove that there is growing intolerance, if at all there was some doubt about it. The differential response to Muslims statements and similar statements made by non Muslims gives the game away and tells us the type of mindset the RSS affiliates; the followers of Hindu nationalism and their followers have. One recalls that in the wake of acts of terror like Mecca Masjid, Malegaon, Ajmer and Samjhauta Express; number of Muslim youth was being arrested recklessly. After Hemant Karakare’s investigation showed that it was the Hindutva groups with Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Lt Col Purohit, Major Upadhayay and Swami Aseemanand; who have role in those acts of blast; the arrest of Muslim youth got a respite. This is what currently Naseeruddin Shah said that lately he is being made aware of his Muslim identity. And on similar vein Julio Rebeiro said that ‘as a Christian suddenly I am a stranger in my own country’. Let the country accommodate all the views, let it remain a democratic country and do not allow this country to become totalitarian state.Needless to say we do need a course correction and those following the politics in the name of religion need to be countered to preserve our democratic-plural values. With the growing ‘intolerance’ being Muslim critics Mumbai Police has downgraded security cover for superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and scrapped it for some others following an audit on threat perceptions. Whereas government still able bear the bills proving Z plus security for Ramdev and Sangeet som whose survival are critical for its own existence. Now the BJP general secretary and one of the old stalwart from BJP is issuing statements. While our PM Modi globetrotting like Christopher Columbus in urge has taken voyage to find the globe is round. In other hand PM Modi’s long silence on ever growing communal violence turned ‘incredible India’ into ‘intolerant India’. Now it is official released that,’Dangal’ will be next target from the ‘Bharatiya Danga Party’ once again shining India. Jai Hind

Lol! This goes on to show that intolerance is ONLY rising despite Yumreeki Murudeshwara Rampai doing 2 & a 1/2 reverse somersaults to show otherwise. So a man cannot speak whats on his mind, eh? Since when did India become some Afghanistan or some fascist state? Oh! That’s easy to answer. I guess the seed was planted sometime on 26th May 2014 and today marks exactly the 600th day! And boy! That tiny seed has grown into a giant Sequoia! People get lynched JUST because some blest sadhu-sanyasi (or otherwise) holier-than-thou Dhogla Chaddi in Rampai’s ‘Sanaatana Bharatha’ (God alone what that is supposed to mean ya Murudu Rampai) MERELY suspects that somebody has a Cow mooing in his fridge and his BBQ grill is ‘warming up’. People get beaten up by some mindless & jobless mindless Chaddi goons JUST they THINK that somebody possesses beef. Some Paki is granted Indian citizenship and sings praises saying India is ‘tolerant’. Some Bengali says the same. Our Murudu Rampa is convinced. He bleats the SAME. Lol! What a joker! But then, he makes my day – EVERYDAY! 🙂 Jai Murudu Rampai Ki. Jai Murudeshwara Ki. 🙂

After yammering incessantly about his beloved Murudeshwara (I wonder why nobody gave him some Nobel Prize… don’t ask me for what exactly) he now proceeds to explain the political epithet “regressive left/groups” to me. And hey, aren’t YOU the same chap who ACTUALLY believes that an idiom must be qualified? Eg: Remember when your comrade TJ Abru said something about some 200 packets of Biryani for Muslims and some 20 packets for Christians and I pointed out to you that a figure is definitely NOT needed? God alone knows what that misguided Abru was hallucinating about, because, by the razor-sharp crease of your Dhogla Khaki Chaddi, nobody has handed-out no goddamn biryani to me. And yet, our Murudeshwara Rampa lapped it up and further went on to repeat it – just like his ‘Murudeshwara’. Amma’s love towards mankind is unconditional. The true meaning of Love is Amma’s Love to the mankind. -Ms.Kumuda Gatty Respected madam, For entire mankind only unconditional love is from their own biological parents. They are always with you any circumstances. There is no comparison to the parents with this man made ‘Amma’. With the absence of tough Anti superstition laws the void is filled by Amma,Baba, tantrik etc. who exploit the innocents day in and out. A former close aide of spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi has come out with a book which narrates tales of alleged sexual exploitation and abuse in the ashram. The Hugging Saint’s PA turns whistleblower with a new book that lists sexual abuse and corruption as foundation for the spiritual mega-empire. “Holy hell: A Memoir of Faith, Devotion and Pure Madness” -Gail ‘Gayatri’ Tredwell Tredwell alleged that one of the ashram colleagues had sexually exploited her and such repeated abuse eroded her faith. Her memoir contains details of alleged promiscuity among ashram members.Mata Amritanandmayi — the guru at the helm of a global spiritual empire that some reports estimate receives $20 million in donation every year — Gail ‘Gayatri’ Tredwell was by her side. How could you identify a Dalit or non-dalit? Are you going to test the blood of all entrants to the temple and whether such test would reveal the identify of a Dalit? This caste system was created long ago by the powerful and the privileged to suppress the poor and less powerful to achieve their self interest and hope a day will come when all persons are treated alike by virtue of what they are and not who they are. It is high time that temples and other institutions who discriminated against so called dalits and other backward classes must make amends to neutralize their past sins.

Dear readers, The symbol of peace is always in the form of white color. Is this ‘Suraksha Ratha’ is publicity for Parya with Swamiji as an brand ambassador? These ‘Rath Yatra’ which Former VP LK Advani once took left trails of bloodshed and millions in damage. This vehicle looks like a ‘Lottery ticket’ or ‘Yakshagana’ publicity in my old days. when we were kids there is guy with drum go to each colony read the notice. Is India going Digital or backward? Respected Annamalai Sir, The best way to make the impact of awareness is by connecting to the masses. There are many local TV channels, use the slot in most modern way. Drop the leaflet with emergency numbers to each residence in your jurisdiction.Increase the night patrols.Reward the informers.Check the efficiency of intelligence inputs.Organise multi faith Janata darbar and address the grievances. Above all put an end to the communal violence, religious hatred and zero tolerance to the political interference. For any development of the nation peace is the important factor. Kindly ensure the unity and diversity of this region and nation as one. Jai Hind

  • From sHAIkh moHd rizwan on Bengaluru: HC quashes all FIRs against Yeddyurappa in land denotification cases

They want ONLY rich Christian countries – to live and procreate like Rabbits.-Mr.Praveen Sir,The 1951 UNHCR Convention drafted relating to the Status of Refugees defining who is a refugee, their rights and the legal obligations of states. The 1967 Protocol removed geographical and temporal restrictions from the Convention. To make your misunderstanding clear, there are no boundaries set on the religious line for refugees. Where it comes richness of ‘Christian’ countries you mentioned,go back to the history of colonial period which they occupied 90% of the globe. To date there are many Christian black countries in Africa are forced to pay taxes Which can’t feed its own people. For Europe, the immediate outlook “doesn’t look very positive,” according to Angus Deaton, the winner of this year’s Nobel economics prize.Take the example of Greece one of the worst debtor before the refugees set in.Norway,Switzerland,Germany,UK are very few countries can withstand the current economic crisis. In order recover the economic turmoil they have already started recolonised the African countries.Once prosperous nation of Libya has already invaded by France and entire north Africa risk of terror. They have not only removed the dictator, but billions of Gold bullion and oil money is been grabbed.Today Libya and Iraq are performing worse than when it is run by dictators.Let’s forget the ‘weapons of mass destruction’,’axis of evil’,’ chemical weapon’ and supply weapons for mass destruction as long as perfection of weapons prove killing more innocents. Praveen Sir,What is the point of “richness” when your own neighbour go hunger? The destiny of refugee can be tommorrow can be anyone’s fate no matter there are no wars but natural calamity alone being considered. You have full privilege to post and enjoy the plight of destiny of someone in distress. Dude you need to grow up and stop being such a “man child”. Hope almighty show you the right path and ability to understand the means of humanity. Jai Hind

Dude you need to grow up and stop being such a “man child”. Hope almighty show you the right path and ability to understand the means of humanity. – Mr. Shaikh Oh well, IF ONLY the Almighty had shown your wayward bros the RIGHT “path” and the “ability to understand the means of humanity”, we wouldn’t have seen the frigging Caliphate and ISIS/daesh. And THERE you go about calling me a “man child”! And the Daesh wouldn’t have posed their kids toting deadly assault rifles Jeez! And you are quite OK with that! Are you for real, man? Btw, did Norway & Switzerland have any colonies? They have not only removed the dictator, but billions of Gold bullion and oil money is been grabbed. – Mr. Shaikh Well, any proof about that? Wasn’t that much beloved Dictator called Muammar Gaddafi supposed to sit pretty on something like 200 Billion USD? And hey, have you heard about his pretty and prettier girley-girleys? Now, that is sitting or squatting pretty on some mighty booty, eh? 😉 Hmmm… so black Christian countries pay taxes, eh? If the citizens don’t pay their taxes, who will? Gaddafi’s billions? Saddam’s minions with their billions? Or Praveena? And those taxes can’t feed the local populace, eh? Well, they could use some skilled labor. The migrants could look towards Aaaaprica too. What say? Praveen Sir,What is the point of “richness” when your own neighbour go hunger? – Mr. Shaikh Umm… that q could be better answered by the GCC. But then, you know – you NEVER know whom you let into your backyard these days. Those jehadi’s are hell bent on getting their promised gifts in ‘heaven’. And by Kaboom… they will do it – JUSt to get there, and never mind the fact that THAT notion is STRANGER than the movie -The Martian’ winning an award for the BEST COMEDY MOVIE. Hence, I’m of the express opinion that the GCC has been very wise indeed! Over to your next query, please!

      • From sHAIKh moHd rizwan on Bengaluru: HC quashes all FIRs against Yeddyurappa in land denotification cases

Saudi Arabia and other rich gulf countries are not taking any syrian refugees.-Mr.Roy Sir,The unease created by facts on this human rights tragedy has allowed specious analysis on Saudi Arabia’s and other Gulf States’ response to the crisis to proliferate throughout the West’s media. Thanks to a technicality in counting refugees, hundreds of outlets from Amnesty International to the Brookings Institution have claimed that Saudi Arabia has taken zero refugees–a ludicrous, but rarely fact-checked statement given the comical lack of a “Great Arabian Wall.” Western Media’s Miscount of Saudi Arabia’s Syrian Refugees http://www.huffingtonpost.com/anhvinh-doanvo/europes-crisis-refugees_b_8175924.html Syria’s refugee crisis in numbers https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2015/09/syrias-refugee-crisis-in-numbers/ With Saudi Arabia’s non-signatory status, the Syrians residing in Saudi Arabia are classified as “Arab brothers and sisters in distress” instead of refugees covered by UN treaties. According to Nabil Othman, the UNHCR regional representative to the Gulf region, there were 500,000 Syrian refugees in Saudi Arabia at the time of his statement. The government itself of Saudi Arabia has stated that it has, over the past five years since the start of the conflict hosted 2.5 million refugees. Because the noted treaties establish treatment standards for refugees, some might raise concerns regarding the conditions that Saudi Arabia’s refugees may be living in. However, Al-Arabiya, a news outlet based in the UAE, has noted that “Saudi authorities granted Syrians the right of residency and work, and provided them with education and health services for free.” According to the Saudi government, over 100,000 children are currently receiving education in the country’s schools. Saudi Arabia is not alone in attempts to provide education for the refugees, with Lebanon now providing schooling for another 100,000 child refugees. This entire matter has been quite illustrative of the pitiful proliferation of modern-day yellow journalism, where even the most bizarre misconceptions are palatable enough to become part of mainstream political debates. Kindly request you authenticate your claims with valid source, instead of spreading misconception. Also do not link the refugee crisis with religion but equate with humanity.Only human can understand the pain of human better with the superior power Almighty has given to us. My lectures may not be worth reading but it do contains valid references. Jai Hind

The New Minister of Railway after shifting the first Minister from Karnataka to law due to his failure to bring billions of dollars for the Railway in 100 days, stated that it takes $ 500 billion dollars to modernize the dilapidated railway system of India. Mr. Modi through his pompous political rhetoric and glorious foreign travel, with a red carpet welcome inviting foreign investment in India with 100% ownership didn’t bring anybody so far. Even in good times, how the investors would be dared to invest in India with red tape-high level corruption and terribly broken infrastructure added with the fear of losing the head for eating beef. Now the nations and corporations of the world are in deeper trouble. Oil stock crash around the world, mainly in the U.S. 60%. 70% of the stock holders lost money last year, even the tech stocks are showing alarming decline. So, the red carpet will be fading and the railway promise will be remaining as a promise for ever.

BJP government came to power due to compulsion of Kannadigas who want teach Gowdas betrayal after holy wedding. Citizens of Karnataka is voted BJP for change. But without couple month in power they have showed the other side of coin by attacking Churches. Most of the assembly is held in ‘RESORTS’ ,whenever there are its MLA’s are glued to mobiles watching porn. When farmers are suiciding Yeddy is busy with denotification of lands. he can stake the claim of being the single-most harassed chief minister, perpetually besieged by either from Governor H R Bhardwaj, the BJP headquarters-backed factions, the Reddy brothers or his own children’s predilection for illegally acquiring Bangalore Development Authority plots. He’s had so many occasions to weep that Yeddyurappa has often seemed less CM than a overwrought patriarch in a Kannada serial – without the glycerin. Kannadigas must be enjoying ‘Good governance’ even before Modi promised. Despite 3 Chief Minister and 2 Deputy Chief minister they can’t deliver ‘Aache Din’. Reddy went to jail and Kamala Withered. How can you blame for Congress for BJP,when there own ministers found in Chumma, raping friends wife,Shadi sex dokha, explicit movie addicts? Now all cases against Denotification is dropped, now stakes for next CM post is clear. Jai Hind

The true story is like this: When full fledged Karnataka government formed by BJP under Yadiyurappa’s leadership and winning so many subsequent by elections, congress wanted to check mate BJP. It was clear when it appointed notorious Bharadwaj (who had allowed Quttrochi case to let loose) that he is going to trouble Yaddi. Everyday there was one or the other issue and he was biting Yaddi. Yaddi lost concentration on controlling the administration and spent most of time thinking how to tackle the governor. Actually chief minister and governor together should work for the people of state but unfortunately congress choose other way. One led to other, so many cases filed against Yaddi and finally he need had to resign and that was dooming BJP. Now that all FIRs got cancelled, will congress apologise to Yaddi? Any ‘intolerant’ people will voice now? I am not at all a fan of Yaddi but want to reflect what was the root cause of BJP downfall in the state. Jai congress!!!!!! You are beautifully cunning!!!!!

When I watched the color discrimination in the U.S. close to half a century back in the same religion, I had the worst shock of life. The Missionaries went to Africa to preach about a loving GOD, but here they were widely separated by a wall of color. At the time of blood transfusion, the patients don’t have the least idea whether the blood is taken from a black-white-brown or yellow person. When I did attend the Black Churches, some of my Indian friends were looking at me as if I was mentally disoriented. Former Indian President Dr. K.R. Narayan in his life story stated, while he was in school, the Hindu children don’t want to sit close to him. The Muslim and Christian boys were sitting close to him. Is there any difference in the social psychology of the boys of different religions? No, they were taught these issues at home, so they will be reacting at the schools. It is a great step in the right direction that Swamiji is taking solid steps so that the Dalits will be sitting and eating with the so called higher caste people of Hinduism.

Dear Mr. B.N. Pai: This beef issue encroaching the fundamental right of the citizens of India through playing the religious card has fractured the nation already. Mr. Modi has stated that he is a great disciple of Swami Vivekandanda; if so, he might have read some books of Swami Vivekananda indicating what you have stated that the Vedic Brahmins used to eat beef, also there could not be a Brahmin who didn’t eat beef. The BJP administration’s main goal is to transform India as a vegetarian country as if the national emergency.

(Err, you can find them in the UK and USA – where our Yumreeki Rampu hides!) 🙂 This is a ploy by the ISI and ISIS and Boko Haram. Kumuda – “So we say Unity in Diversity… Jai Bharath Matha.” Madam, the opposite is true now! Now it is diversity in unity!! I am a man whom nobody accept as a leader. But I have indomitable and misplaced political ambitions. So, I resort to make use of religious sentiments as a tool. In that case the focus shifts from me to the religion and people begin to ignore the person that I am, and follow the religious impulses, rather than rational and logical deductions. This polarisation breads polarization in the opposite religious camp, thus growing religious fundamentalism in one religious group becomes the most congenial matter for the religious extremism in the opposite camp too. We would not realise this till at last we are sucked into the abysmal depths and we can not wriggle out from such situation. THEY SOW WIND TO REAP WHIRLWIND! THEY WOULD DESTROY RELIGIONS, WHICH THEY OSTENSIBLY PREACH TO PROTECT.

It is high time we wake up and come together and establish christ values within us. Let us take a bold step against injustice. Nobody can harass us if we are united. We are followers of christ.

sHAIKh mOHD rizwan – “Is this felicitation for encouraging ‘Pankti Beda’ and ‘Made snana’?’ Dear sHAIKh mOHD rizwan’ you are playing in the hands of RSS Paimaam. He daily attacks Muslims, and he thereby wants people like you to counter attack the Hindu Religion. This makes the Hindu religious feelings ruffled, and willingly or unwillingly, the Hindus take refuge with the RSS. If real secular parties oppose the RSS tactics, the Hindus unwittingly hate secular parties and get attracted by the self styled protectors of the Hindu Religion. This is how RSS is growing by the day. You may defend the attacks by the RSS without hitting back at the Hindus. If you attack other religions, your religion gets embarrassed, for it has the maximum fault lines which no one could defend. Sir, if you want to discuss, you can engage in debating with me to know the points I have stated. Attack the attacker with all the might at your command, but do not become a prey to the RSS game plan by insulting Hindu sensibilities! RSS Pai has laid his trap, and you play to his tune. Sorry to react like this. I respect your religion, for religion is a matter of faith and need not necessarily be logically or scientifically correct. Prophets lay claim to miracles to justify their claims to the last prophethood. But, miracles are unscientific and illogical.

It is a great news and relief to read that democracy is not dead in India and the emerging of theocratic autocracy is not welcomed. In the two years of rule of India by the BJP, peace and harmony lost to the citizens of India and anarchy was rapidly spreading all over India; peace and harmony must be reclaimed by the united efforts of the democratic parties of India led by the Congress party. The tricky religious card playing game of the BJP and her sister parties are not tolerated by the electorate of India. Like the evaporation of the world communism, the BJP will be turning like another historical event. All the best wishes and prayers.

This is s very good decision to ban anyone who gives hate speeches against other religions. Zakir naik says against democracy and secular state and this is right in police commissioner exercising his ban. The government and the state must be respected and state should handle these elements with an iron hand. Else india will also become like Syria and Yemen. Let people practise religion in their homes. When they come outside the house, they should be only Indians. We wish the state and government keeps up the good efficient work and politicians like nail and Bawa should be booted by the people for vote bank politics who encouraged this hatemonger naik entry to mangalore.

Dr. Zakir Naik, I am told, is a medical doctor by profession. So, why does he not pursue his profession and serve people, rather than indulging in this religious humbug?-Mr.Nelson Lewis Sir, Though Dr.Zakir Naik is Doctor in professional he never indulge in hate speeches. The many lectures which he delivered is related to comparative religion. Everyone love his religion by birth. If one try to educate through his/her own religious scripture it won’t be objectionable. It is open to public of all donation they received to run his own Channels. If he is greed of money he would have continued his own carrier which is enough to suffice his own family needs. It is ridiculous use terms without validating. Show me one hate speeches ever gave by Dr.Zakir naik or Benny Hinn? Mangalore needs ‘smart people’ not an troop of dancers which need police protection to have liberty to have entertainment. Ask Togadia also ‘oncologist’ by profession, what contribution has he done for the upliftment of his own society other than hate speeches? Jai Hind

I find religious fanatics coming and giving lectures and sermons to people who are naive and gullible, be it Dr. Zakir Naik, Praveen Tongadia, Pramod Muthalik, Benny Hines and others as disgusting and repulsive. They do it to brainwash masses or because they have a hidden agenda or to keep themselves gainfully employed. Dr. Zakir Naik, I am told, is a medical doctor by profession. So, why does he not pursue his profession and serve people, rather than indulging in this religious humbug? I wonder how much money does Dr. Naik make in delivering sermons, stressing on the superiority of his religion over others and answering questions? Mangalore should encourage people who are distinguished in varied fields to come and speak to people, be it international film stars, writers, musicians, dancers, scientists, war heroes and others, because people will learn a lot from these successful personalities.

Well written article by Alfie! It’s sad that technology, although beneficial to mankind, is certainly detrimental in many ways – takes away real emotions, takes away jobs, and makes the overall economy of any nation poor, and moreover it makes one lazy and non-functional. Like, hardly anyone knows where the post office is located or what is 6 times 9, without having to use technology, GPS or a Calculator! This is WRONG!! This is a slippery slope!! Where do we stop? It was Mr.Togadia in the past. It is Mr.Zakir Naik’s turn now. Who next? And, also what do they mean by ‘hurting religious sentiments’? This is a total bogus and we are moving in a wrong direction. If Mr.Naik has done any illegal things or encouraged violence, then it is a much bigger discussion. In that case, Indian govt can take legal action against him. But, what’s the point in restricting his movements in his own country when he is not proven guilty in court?? I wish we had a true media. But, we don’t have one. This is entirely a creation of pseudo-media and bogus-secular groups. In the past, they all cheered when Hindu leaders were banned from entering city. Now, the same monster is spinning out of control. Individual Libery, Journalism and Progressive values – RIP

Truly Amazing!! It’s both encouraging and depressing to read these reports week after week. On the one hand, I feel really optimistic because there are still groups like Sree Raamakrishna folks who would do ‘samaaja seve’ without expecting anything. On the other hand, the fact that overwhelming percentage of our population and organizations have zero interest in these activities give me no hope for future!! Look at the participants – Almost nobody from minority community who are very good at crying ‘discrimination’ at every opportunity they get. With a few exceptions like Sri.Vasudeva and Sri.Ganesh Karnik, there is a total absence of our political leaders in these activities. It shows how they are all driven by either religious bias or political bias. They would rather go to events inaugurating new apartment buildings, eat free snacks and pose for photos!! Kudos to Sree Raama Krishna folks for reminding every mangaluru person the importance of doing right things!! Keep it up!!

Dear readers, The Narendra Modi government launched one of its ambitious projects soon after it assumed power – Swachh Bharat. It was a scheme mapped out for a cleaner and healthier India. It was rightly welcomed by all sections of the society. But even after months of detailing and deliberations, some of the basic lapses in the project now make me wonder where it is heading to. I know Swachh Bharat is not just about domestic waste management or addressing public litter. It is also about creating awareness, promoting healthy sanitation practices, and involving private sector participation in capital expenditure, operation, and maintenance. It is time to evaluate the initial benefits of the scheme, but unfortunately, most of them start and end as figures and charts on paper only. Since privatisation is considered, why cannot the government bear a part of the cost and run a self-sustainable system by collecting nominal charges from the beneficiaries, without an additional cess on services? Inventing new tax plans on continual services to generate money for new schemes is not a good idea. This means the government needs to find money for the cleaning campaign outside of the current tax system. A responsible government should first study and identify fund lapses in other schemes, improper utilisation of funds, surplus funds, and one-time tax heads to route money to new schemes. The most important of all is the collection of tax from defaulters. The Swachh Bharat cess is a prescient warning that we might soon see cess on continual services to generate funds for Digital India and OROP schemes too, that may take the service charges to more than 15 per cent. It will only make the public give a cold shoulder to ambitious projects. And that’s not good news for our economy or development. Where is all those 0.5% ‘Swachh Bharat Cess’ on services go that are at present taxed from November 15? There are 32 attempt to clean the future smart city. But city is still seems to be lack of smart people. Just cleaning the vegetation does not make the city clean. But it needs awareness too. Earlier days of Bangalore this practice is common before each residential block which this NGO is doing. It does mean that, how citizens of India think about their environment. Lastly,Does it real needs to live footprints of the organisation which painted the road signs? Can we see 33rd campaign cleaning filthy toilets in the busy areas? Jai Hind

Dear readers, The Mangalore police has once again confirmed what the ‘Cobrapost’ exposed in sting operation. It is one of the classic example of ‘intolerance’ set by the law enforcement department. Why the same law is not applicable to Cancer Togadia, Sadhvi Balika,Pramod Mutalik,Parmanand swami …? Do the VHP and Bajrang Dal has given written guarantee to organise any event in the past without untoward incident and hate speeches? The Police department,District commissioner has once again submitted to the language of threat used by the saffron fundamentalist. Why the commissioner has not booked the case against saffron leaders who are openly threatened the peace in the city? Is police intelligence is kept in the cold storage? Now the ruling Congress government of Karnataka plays Santa for Sri Rama Sene’s Muthalik, to drop 13 charges against ‘hate speech’ against him. He is one of the key conspirator in the Hubli court yard bomb blast, caught in Tehelka sting operation ‘riots for money’,hoisted Pakistani flag in Sindagi to create communal disturbance, distributed lethal weapons under ‘Trishul Diksha’ and made Mangalore know for pub attack. How many more evidence does the Home Ministry of Karnataka need to prosecute if owns a Hindu name has strong political connection? Karnataka Congress to drop 13 charges against ‘hate speech’ leader Muthalik http://www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/indianews/article-3374876/Karnataka-Congress-drop-13-charges-against-hate-speech-leader-Muthalik.html#ixzz3vXFSgxFr I once again reiterate that it won’t surprise many if smart city of Mangalore burns like ‘Godhra’ or ‘Muzaffarnagar’ and Police department remain mute spectator like Mumbai communal violence. Once pristine coastal town known for their generosity, interfaith understanding and education hub, remains in spotlight in wrong reasons. Why there is peace can’t be restored in the future smart city, it is the soft approach of police department is single reason. Today ‘Dilwale’ has crossed Rs.1 billion mark. But in tolerant Mangalore you need to ‘Police protection’ . Is ‘Smart city’ lacks ‘smart people’? Jai Hind

I’m also seeing many invented, re-invented ‘day celebrations’ (example – ‘aati-onji-dina’) coming up every year. All these celebrations are usually accompanied by chende-meLa, gombe-vesha and other stuff. Nothing wrong with all the theatrics and celebration. But, I see a total lack of focus on some of the big issues we face, experience everyday. The first thing any person who visits Mangaluru (Or, India for that matter) is the total lack of hygiene in our urban areas. Other than Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, nobody seems to be worried about what they experience almost all day and everyday. We Mangaloreans specially the Lower Middle Class and Middle Class always fall prey to these Blade companies. Olden days I remember the Beedi, Tile factory, Cashew peeling, Coffee grading workers used to contribute their weekly installment to a private person for good returns. When our own people used cheat us then why not out siders now????

  • From Nelson Lewis on Mangaluru: Activist Vidya Dinker files Case on Bajrang Dal for Forcibly Stopping Screening of 'Dilwale'

Ms. Vidya Dinker, the social activist, is a courageous lady and India badly needs people like her and Kirti Azad, who do not tolerate any wrongs in the country or system, irrespective of the risks involved to their lives. However, was it necessary for her to file a case in the police station for the police to move in the matter? What was the Commissioner of Police and his force doing when these anti-social elements like Bajrang Dal have taken law into their own hands and indulged acts of moral policing? Is it not their job to galvanize into action and maintain law-and-order, rather than citizens filing complaints or moving the courts? Is India turning into a paradise for fanatics and anti-social elements to have a field day? The problems with the bureaucrats is that they socialize with high and mighty and try to be goody, goody with their professional and political masters to ensure promotions and awards. They flex their muscles and dictate rules only with the weak and bow to powerful and influential people. In the recent past, the typical examples are the Peter and Indirani Mukherjea, when the media revealed that the police top brass were socializing with them and the case (or cases) had to be handed over to the CBI for an impartial investigation and building a water-tight case. Again, the police have goofed-up the Salman Khan case too. Such is the calibre of the police forces.

This mindless ‘protest/stopping’ of the screening by lumpen elements ONLY serves to underscore what SRK meant by “intolerance”.

I wonder if there were any cases filed on Muslim cleric for openly offering Rs.51 lakh for beheading VHP leader, Kamalesha Tiwaari. Here is the news that Indian media has tried hard to hide and ignore:

Very good. I fully support taking legal actions against these groups to teach them a lesson on democracy and limitations on peaceful protests. Nobody has the right to cause any property damage in the process of protest!!! Having said that, I also would like to know if these ‘activists’ are going to be equally ‘brave’ in confronting other groups as well? I am glad that they are fighting for the rights of Bollywood intellectuals. Are these ‘activists’ honest enough to defend the rights of local magazines to publish the cartoons of a 7th century? Just curious. Remember, it is the intellectual honesty and courage that matter in these ideological fights, not the selective outrage driven by political agenda or bias.

  • From M DSouza on Mangaluru: JP Hegde Carried Out Development Through Congress Party - Ramanath Rai

Ramanathanna, For you party first and person next. For people who look for character, development, person first. Their party affiliation does not matter. We thought Congress will be a good alternative to BJP. You guys have disappointed us completely. Your party did not use the right opportunity. Even if you wake up now. It is too late. Hope a day will come, people first, development first and the party last. Hope JP Hegde wins this time.
