Hope this number plate rules apply to the police department as well as other officials, ministers etc etc…. Sunfilms are banned here and the comman man is stopped and fined for use of it but most of the ministers and other officials vehicle run with sunfilms… According to the SC nothing can be stuck to the glass having any %VLT …. In fact I saw the mayors new Innova getting tinted! So whether it’s a light shade o dark sunfilm is a sunfilm itself and rules apply to all! Why is that only comman people gotta follow this?

It’s funny how they are telling us to abide by the sudden roar of a new number plate rule which was there in the books for a while but not being practiced. But anyways it’s funny to see all the government and cop vehicles still roaming around with fancy or stickers number plates… The law setter must show themselves as a good role model for others to follow.

  • From RTD on Mangaluru: Traffic Cops Crack Down on Fancy Number Plates

Fancy Registration Number Plates The Traffic Dept. must issue one and the same design, font, and color number plates at the time of Registration to all vehicles, 2-wheeler, 4-wheeler, or 6-wheeler, etc. This can be done by outsourcing to a reputed workshop, that fabricates number plates. Charges should be On-Cost basis. PROBLEM SOLVED – All other countries practice it, why can’t India? Wearing Safety Helmets: why only Students, the ones those are not students too die everyday in Udupi and Manganlore, due to lack of a safety helmet. All countries practice SAFETY HELMET a must for 2-wheeler-3-Wheeler Rider as well as Pillion Rider. Why can’t India practice it too. Well engineered roads and good quality roads, traffic lights at all cross roads and junctions, traffic rules and warning signs in Bold large size on large boards on roads, pedestrian crossing markings, etc., timely repairs of damaged roads, potholes, roads with landslides, etc., are the responsibilities of the Traffic Dept. in conjunction with the MPW and the Municipality Looking out for over-speeding 2-wheeler, 4-wheeler, and bus and truck drivers, Looking out for over-loading of people in tempos, private buses, 2-wheelers Driving on the wrong side of the roads Driving without any number plates ARE ALL THE RESPONSIBILITIES of the Traffic Dept. Maintaining an special uniform color for Police vehicles is also a necessity – as of today there is no uniformity – some are white, others are dark blue, others are gray – and they all carry a small POLICE sticker on the bumper. Check out Police vehicles in other countries – We too can do the same Right now every thing with regards to the Traffic Dept. and the Traffic is a mess. Fancy number plates have been existing since years now – how come the Traffic cops just noticed them! It’s just a matter of taking on the challenge to run an effective Traffic Dept.

  • From Sunil Gonsalves-Mangalore on Mangaluru: Traffic Cops Crack Down on Fancy Number Plates

Kudos for Carrying the news on defective Number Plates. I think it is necessary to Put an article as to what a legal number plate is. The rules are attached herewith. it should be however noted that all number plates yesterday were defective either because of the Fonts, or were stickered on to a plastic Plate or were not complete. for Eg: KA19E5 is not the Number. it is KA19E0005. What is interesting to note is that in TN, the IND Plates sold in Karnataka have been declared illegal and through my interaction with a few cops i have learnt that even they do not know about this TN HC Judgement. probably you can obtain a soundbyte from ACP Uday Nayak on legally valid Number Plates. Here is the newslink: Police wake up to ‘defective’ number plates after a case was filed in HC Vehicle registration number plates with letters “IND” which were touted as ‘high security’ number plates for the past few years have now suddenly become “defective number plates,” with police across the State penalising vehicle owners with such number plates. The police have been checking for vehicles with such number plates in Madurai city and Madurai rural police limits since last Saturday as part of the State-wide drive. While the city police have registered over 300 cases so far, the district police have been booking around 20 cases every day, police sources said. “We are only carrying out the instructions from Chennai,” a police officer clarified on the sudden drive. The drive, a police source said, had been carried out to file a counter petition in a case filed in High Court. “Someone has filed a case that these number plates with “IND” were defective in nature violating the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Hence, we are imposing fines on the violators,” the officer said. The Centre in the past had mulled introduction of high security number plates with a magnetic chip. However, the plan had not been officially implemented. “But, some people made a replica of the high security number plate only in its look by including the letters “IND” and a hologram,” the police officer said. “Such number plates are available in the market and also seen in many vehicles for the last three years. Even the police and officials of Regional Transport Offices were not aware of this violation until this case in court,” the officer said. Interestingly, many of the vehicles of police officers too have the “IND” mark, said the police officer. Though the fine amount is a meagre Rs. 100, the vehicle owners feel cheated and quarrel with the police. “They claim that as to why the plates were allowed to be sold and what were the police and RTOs doing all these years,” an officer said. They want the government to give a deadline with a minimum of 15 days to replace such “defective” number plates.

    • From Sunil Gonsalves on Mangaluru: Traffic Cops Crack Down on Fancy Number Plates

in Continuation to what I have said earlier: The Number Plate dimensions and Size of Fonts are specified in The MV Act (Rule 50, 51 of MV Act, 1989). Plastic/ Fibre Number plates, Number plates with names of Gods, Kids, Families, Designation, Fancy lettering, Vinyl Cutout Lettering (words such as ‘Govt of India UT’ or official Designations ) are all not legal. The Number Plates that are legal need to be either embossed or Painted. the IND Number Plates which are supposed to be High Security Plates that are sold in Karnataka are actually held to be illegal and tantamount to fake notes by the Madras High Court sometime in Jan 2015. More information on Number plates can be found here: http://www.htp.gov.in/Annexure-I.pdf

How is this a dangerous trend? What’s wrong in posting a cartoon of a religious figure? Where was this outrage when dailies and weeklies publish cartoons of ganapathi, shiva, krishna, buddhda or Yesu krista? Where was the same outrage when ‘PK’ or ‘OMG’ movies were released? Is publishing a cartoon illegal? Oh never mind – it is illegal and a dangerous trend in third world countries!! After all, this is the kind of ‘tolerance’ demanded by third world secular groups !! It all makes sense now!! Thanks!!

of course this is a dangerous trend, when social media becomes a tool create rift among the communities by vested interests, in the name of Freedom of Expression. two wrongs does not make a right Mr Pai. Publishing a cartoon is not illegal or for that matter any forms of art, as long as it does not hurt the sentiments of the fellow citizens and become an ingredient for unrest, hatred and divisiveness. and here its clearly evident that this was just and only created to flare tensions by this miscreant whether its 1st 2nd or 3rd a crime is a crime in all the worlds and if only people were to understand the fact that freedom of rights comes with great responsibility

I am told that the teaching in Madrassas lays much emphasis on Koran and, again, what is taught depends on the interpretation of the holy book as per the whims and fancies of the teachers. It is the duty of the governments to ensure that children get quality education to attract them to go to these schools, rather than going to schools run on religious lines. Otherwise, the children will grow up lacking knowledge and skills, blinkered and regimented minds and will not be an employable commodity. They will be introverts all their lives.

Original R.Pai: “The impact of madrasa based education is very clear in our society!!” Madrasa based education is wreaking havoc in Muslim Majority countries and the “Hindu Madrasa Based education” does the same in Hindu Majority Country. RSS Paimaam, the problem in India is not by “madrasa based education”, but is due to “Hindu Madrasa Based education” i.e. the “shaake” based education. What Muslims do in Madrasas, the RSS does in India in the “Shaake”! Both corrupt the innocent minds and attitude and aptitude of the lads during their formative period. These lads, who were corrupted by the RSS since the last two generations, are now in sufficient strength as BJP foot soldiers to ignore or pressurize their older generations and the common man too. They cunningly shift focus of the limelight from their Hindutva agenda, to popular grievances and they now implement their Hindu Agenda on those who believed and voted them under the ill conceived notion that they are really secular politicians. Those who hate Congress also fell in to their trap. Instead of electing a better alternative to the Congress Party, they have succumbed to the tactics of Hindu Militants. THERE IS STILL ONE LAST CHANCE TO SAVE HINDUS AND SAVE INDIA FROM THE HINDU MILITANTS. THE CONGRESS IS REFORMING NOW. THE CONGRESS ALONE IS THE NATIONAL PARTY TO RELY UP ON. IT IS TESTED AND TRIED AND IS A REAL SECULAR PARTY WHICH DID NOT CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE OF HATRED AND CONFRONTATION. CONGRESS NEVER TOLD ANY ONE TO GO TO PAKISTAN OR EUROPE OR JERUSALEM! BUT PLEASE ELECT CONGRESS WITH FULL MAJORITY, SO THAT CONGRESS NEED NOT SUCCUMB TO CORRUPT PRESSURES BY THE COALITION PARTNERS. NINETY PERCENT OF THE CORRUPTION DURING THE UPA II RULE WAS BY THE NON-CONGRESS REGIONAL PARTIES, WHICH FORMED THE UPA. CONGRESS MINISTERS DID INVOLVE IN ONE OR TWO SCAMS AND THEY WERE ALL SENT TO JAIL BY THE MANMOHAN SINGH GOVERNMENT. BUT RSS WOULD NEVER DO SO. THEY JUSTIFY EVERY WRONG DONE BY THEIR STOOGES AND THEY ARE NOT AMIABLE TO PUBLIC SCRUTINY AND PUBLIC MORALITY.

  • From N S on Mangaluru: The Grass is 'Wilder' on other side of the Fence? Mangala Stadium Neglected

By Indian standards, the stadium is decent enough. The track inside the stadium is open only for athletes and they have enough space inside for warm up or ground exercise. Last year I was there running one morning (when it was open for the general public) and saw a familiar looking woman running wearing a track suit. To my surprise, it was PT Usha who trains a couple of athletes from Mangalore. Asian Games medalist and Kodagu-Mlore girl MR Poovamma to practices here. After a few athletes complained of hindrance during practice by general public, the stadium is now open for athletes only and the decision is very apt. But yes, it needs to be maintained well. The mud-ground shown here is the Karavali Utsav ground which is open for the general public too. I am not sure if there were plans that it would be the ground for warm ups. With so many restaurants opening up in Mlore, our people need a proper ground to burn those extra calories 🙂

Also, Isn’t it ironic that you and your minions use Vivekananda’s quotes on beef consumption back in Vedic period to justify beef consumption in modern times? However, his quotes on your masters make him a bigot? Well, spoken like a true bigot!! smiles… @ AS Beef Mathew – Enjoy your beef and especially pork while it lasts. Your peaceful friends are coming and very soon you may not be able to eat your pork if the same trend continues!! As far as this event (Ambeya Koogu) goes, I have a mixed feelings. These guys are taking wrong approach to justify a good thing. Who cares what Vedas, Quran or any other old books say or don’t say about cows. We need to protect cows because they are animals like us who can feel pain and suffering. We simply don’t have the right to kill an animal unless our life is threatened. Also, this issue can never be addressed unless you tackle over consumption of dairy products. This religious circus quoting silly stuff from old books is totally wrong way to approach the issue. Then again, what do you expect from these religions and followers of these religions?

Pincode Pai was referring to historical India in relation to historical Europe and Middle east. If your masters were very tolerant, what did happen to all those religions worshiped by native Greek, Romans, German and other tribes in Europe before 2nd century? What happened to god and religions followed by native americans in US, Canada? What happened to religious beliefs in Latin america? Were they all catholic when white man landed? Dear Nicholas, There is no general consensus amongst the historians about the roots of Aryans or from where they came from and certainly Iraq has not been mentioned by any of them. Scholars have given the names of different countries as the origins of Aryans, viz. Central Asia, Arctic Region, Punjab, Tibet, Southern Russia and other places. You have mentioned Iraq as the place that Aryans originated from, which may not be right. When it comes to Canada and U.S.A., the sons-of-soil are the Red Indians, namely Apache, Sioux, Mohawks, Innuits, Eskimos and many others.

    • From B.N.Pai on Udupi: Newly-built Christ Church, Manipal all set to inaugurate on December 5

Original R.Pai – “Pincode Pai was referring to historical India in relation to historical Europe and Middle east.” Sir, I was talking about the religious resilience and tenacity of Sanatana Dharma; which really is perpetual and self perpetuating, (JUST LIKE THE PROPAGATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION EVEN IN VACUUM, WITHOUT DEPENDING ON ANY MEDIUM TO SUSTAIN ITSELF, AND TO PERPETUITY. THEREFORE, SELF STYLED RSS MEDIUM IS UNNECESSARY!) I was telling that, that Dharma, which withstood the every ruthless adversity and which is still vibrant and vital – not due to any king or organised bull-work to protect it, but due to sheer intrinsic strength and the spirit of accommodation and inclusiveness built in it, and the indestructible faith in it reposed by its followers – requires no protection of self styled protectors, who pretend to be its sole protectors, with ulterior motive to enslave them for their GRAND DESIGN FOR political selfishness and ambition. Congress represents that great religion by its flexibility and indestructibility. And, the RSS is hard and brittle, and is the one which wants to enslave the followers of that religion. Just read the book written by Nehru by the name “Discovery of India” and you would be a better Indian. AGAIN, I WANT TO REITERATE THAT HINDU RELIGION IS THE PROUD AND UNIQUE RELIGION, WHICH COULD NOT BE DESTROYED BY ISLAM OR CHRISTIANITY OR ANY OTHER RELIGION OR FORCE, FORCIBLY IMPOSING ITSELF ON IT. THEREFORE, RSS – DO NOT FORCE ON IT. YOUR AGGRESSIVE FORCE WOULD BE DISAPPEARING IN TO THE THIN AIR, ONCE THE BREAKING POINT IS REACHED!

  • From A. S. Mathew on Mangaluru: Cow's Milk is Health, Ghee Medicine and Meat Disease - Mohammed Faiz Khan

Indeed, you are turning like a scientist of animal protean. In Quran, anywhere it is written to drink cow milk, camel milk, eating eggs, eating chicken and goat meat or buffalo meat? In the GCC countries, they have a lot of camels and drink a lot of camel milk. Only one meat which is specifically prohibited in Quran is Pork, but now in some of GCC countries, the consumers can get pork meat. In the Old Testament, the first five books are known as Torah which is the sacred book of the Jewish people. In Torah, God has given specific instructions about avoiding certain meat products, unclean meats like Pork meat, fishes without scales and certain birds. But, in the New Testament, that religious regulation of eating food was completely taken away, simply give thanks to GOD and eat whatever we like which will not hurt us. In Quran, there is not any detailed instructions in the dietary principles, but only pork meat is prohibited. The Muslims are not permitted according to Quran to eat meat from dead animals, suffocated and killed animals are prohibited to eat, also the meat of any animal which was offered as a religious sacrifice. Through cutting the throat and bleeding the animal (halal), all the blood must be gone from the flesh. The blood consumption is very strictly prohibited by the Muslim believers. Mr. Khan is making a new Islamic teaching about beef consumption. Learn something about the protean value of beef; you have mentioned only the milk and butter.

When he was the Minister of Railways, I had written to him questioning him the need to have 1,700,000 employees on the payroll, making the Indian Railways the second largest employer after the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. He just did not respond. There are many Railway employees, especially those in workshops, who come, signed the muster and go out and do their private work or work for private employers. They have arrangements with their superiors for these arrangemens and they pay a part of their salaries. It is the case of, “We scratch your backs and you scratch ours.” Only, when there is inspection, they are at work. Such is the pathetic state of affairs.

Media is getting desperate and playing the same dishonest tactics as they do in silently endorsing radical Islam. Let’s take this case for example. So…some unknown members of VHP kicked a cow to make room for procession. As the report clearly admits, VHP is visibly upset over the incident and promised to look into this incident. It is not the official policy of VHP to hurt or ‘kick’ cows. However, look at the opening lines in this report – “It seems like it’s not okay to kill a cow, but it’s okay to kick a cow, which is considered to be sacred by Hindus”!! Seriously? Is this the official stand of VHP?? This is a new low for journalism. I wish media has higher standards! On the other hand, the opposing parties like minority groups, Congress and other parties have openly expressed their support to cow slaughtering. Comparing an official policy to support cow slaughtering to an aberration on the side of VHP shows that readers need to be very careful in trusting ‘news’ reports these days.

I can only imagine the outrage if they arm themselves like Jihaadist!!-Atheist Mr.Original to Ruchita Sir, Jihadis described by the mass media has no religion. Terrorism is their only religion. The Arabic word “jihad” is often translated as “holy war,” but in a purely linguistic sense, the word ” jihad” means struggling or striving. If only Savarkar’s bodyguard and his secretary had testified against him in court, he would have been convicted for Gandhi’s murder. Savarkar and Gandhi’s murder http://www.frontline.in/static/html/fl2919/stories/20121005291911400.htm Morarji’s disclosure should cause no surprise. This is what Robert Payne wrote of Savarkar in The Life and Death of Mahatma Gandhi in 1969: “Among those who sat in the dock he alone seemed to be well cast for the role he was playing. Some inner fire burned in him, in that deathly pale face which had been reduced by illness and suffering to the dimensions of a skull. He had been placed under house arrest within eight hours of the assassination, and the only surprising thing is that he was not arrested earlier, for he was the prime suspect, the one man who would inevitably be suspected of the crime. Suspicion would have fastened on him even if he had been living in London. Gandhi’s murder was also one in a series—Curzon Wylie’s in London in 1909, A.T.M. Jackson, Collector of Nashik, in 1910; and the attempted murder of Acting Governor of Bombay Ernest Hotson in 1931. In each case Savarkar used others as his pawns. Those who laud him ignore this long and consistent record from 1911 to 1950 because they value his doctrine. Did BJP hanged portrait of Veer Savarkar in Parliament for treachery or in honour of British raj is question. Jai Hind

I heartily abhor meth-ods of violence resorted to in days gone by and I feel myself duty bound to uphold law and constitution [British] to the best of my powers and am willing to make the re-form [i.e., the Montague-Chelmsford reforms of 1919 which did not satisfy the de-mands of the nationalist movement] a success in so far as I may be allowed to do so in future” (From facsimile of Savarkar’s letter, Frontline, April 7, 1995. Italics added). We read again: “If the government in their manifold beneficence and mercy release me, I for one cannot but be the staunchest advocate of constitutional progress and loyalty to the English government which is the foremost condition of that progress […] Moreover, my conversion to the constitutional line would bring back all those mislead young men in India and abroad who were once looking up to me as their guide […] The Mighty alone can afford to be merciful and therefore where else can the prodigal son return but to the parental doors of the government” (From facsimile of Savarkar’s letter, Frontline, April 7, 1995. Italics added). Vallabhbhai Patel was vindicated. He had written to Nehru on February 27, 1948: “I have kept myself almost in daily touch with the progress of the investigation regarding Bapu’s assassination case.” His conclusion was: “It was a fanatical wing of the Hindu Mahasabha directly under Savarkar that [hatched] the conspiracy and saw it through.” Many years later, the BJP had his portrait hung in Parliament House beside Mahatma Gandhi. “Hey Ram! A lot has been expressed by various quarters about writers, journalists, academics, artists, scientists and intelligentsia returning their awards or expressinig their concerns about the growing intolerance in the country. Just because one is not happy with their actions, one cannot condemn them and call them anti-national. In democracy, everyone has the freedom to express himself, however unsavoury his comments may appear to others and the latter have to accept anything that is unpalatable with a pinch of salt. Though, I am not fond of Bollywood films, however, I can say with certainty that Aamir Khan is much more patriotic than those who are casting stones on him. Some of those who are criticising him are sanyasis and sanyasins who, thanks to RSS and BJP, have been fortunate enough to become Members of the Parliament and enjoy all the privileges that go with the job, including chauffeur-driven cars, instead of going around on Walker’s Express. Considering their backgrounds and upbringings, how intelligent, educated and literate they are, is highly debatable. I am sure that their IQ must be around 40. When it suits him, Narendra Modi likes to speak and when he spoke at Wembley Stadium it was a pretty long speech which from the looks and expressions on the faces of Prime Minister David Cameron and his spouse (who, for the occasion, had adorned a sari), must have bored them. However, when his ministers and members of his party cross-the-line, he acts dumb. Haryana’s minister has acted in an arrogant manner with an IPS lady officer and does not have the decency to apologize. There are others who utter rubbish, threaten people and even tell them to go to Pakistan. If BJP has the guts, then they should send anti-national elements like Syed Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz and others to Pakistan. Where it matters, they just do not have the guts and get cold feet. The sad part of the story is that Narendra Modi is only doing a fine job by travelling abroad and charming foreign leaders and the Indian diaspora there, but neglecting things on the domestic front. He and his side-kick, Amit Shah, had no reason to go and personally canvas in Delhi and Bihar elections and make personal attacks and the ramifications are there for everyone to see. He has to control all the hot heads and arrogants elements in his party and rein them. Just like Congress, the BJP is losing its credibility day-by-day.

There are two main reasons why this campaign seems to be in trouble: 1. Modi has failed to take his own team to task. There is absolutely no excuse for not trying hard in Delhi!!! BJP leaders had a moral obligation and higher responsibility to take leadership and drive this campaign in every city and town. This would have made a much bigger impact in long run. In reality, BJP is also filled with very corrupt, useless, narcissistic individuals who have zero vision for the country. Forget about Delhi, take a look at BJP leaders in our own city and state. They don’t even care about cleanliness around their own office!! Doing something positive to society is not in their mind as it doesn’t get them any political mileage. They would rather focus on useless events!! Pathetic. 2. The vicious, dangerous hatred from non-BJP parties and minority communities towards Modiji is also taking its toll. These groups would rather see India fail than Modi win!! These are the groups who will complain about ‘swatchcha bharatha’s failure while doing absolutely nothing to contribute to this campaign. These are the groups who never voted or supported Modi. They want him to fail in everything even though it means India’s failure!! Take a look at our own Mangaluru and see how many institutions and organizations are doing absolutely NOTHING. The Governor’s political affiliation is not mentioned in the article. The governor belongs to the BJP, the Hindu nationalist party. The greatest threat to Indian unity is Hindu nationalism, which does not respect the linguistic and cultural differences of India.

He is unadulterated RSS belonging to GSB community (Konkani). Roy: “The greatest threat to Indian unity is Hindu nationalism, which does not respect the linguistic and cultural differences of India.” Sir, you are wrong. They make every one a Hindu! Then where is the question of respecting any other religion?

Original R.Pai – “Intolerant India!!! LOL Well, I was just trying to make a point here.” The point is that RSS has “NOT YET” prohibited building church or mosque. MR. RSS PAI, THIS IS NOT A CHARITY BY THE RSS! IT IS THE GIFT OF CONGRESS TO THE NATION, BY ENACTING A SECULAR CONSTITUTION FOR INDIA. HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE CONSTITUTIONAL HURDLE FACED BY YOU, YOU WOULD HAVE STOPPED CONSTRUCTIONS OF RELIGIOUS STRUCTURES AND PRAYERS BY NON-HINDUS. AS CLANDESTINELY DONE IN AYODHYA, YOU WOULD DO MANY MORE SUCH THINGS OPENLY AND FEARLESSLY. PAIMAAM, PLEASE WAIT FOR SOME TIME. THE PEOPLE OF INDIA WOULD GIVE THE CONSTITUTION AMENDING SPECIAL MAJORITY TO THE RSS AND BJP. THEN YOU CAN MAKE INDIA “COMPULSORILY TOLERANT”. THE IT/BT ELITE AND THE YOUTH VOTERS WOULD DO IT FOR YOU SOON! LET THE MUSLIMS, CHRISTIANS AND DALITS VOTE AGAINST THE CONGRESS, AND YOU WOULD HAVE THE HINDU INDIA OF YOUR DREAMS, SOONER THAN LATER! CONGRATULATIONS.

“IT IS THE GIFT OF CONGRESS TO THE NATION…” writes revisionist historian, pro-sharia Pincode Pai. Someone needs to remind Pincode Pai that Christianity came to Bharatha long before his cult of Congress. It was the tolerant sanaathana dharma culture that allowed foreign religions to reach Bharatha and survive for centuries!! However, Pincode Pai, true to his painfully ignorant past and dishonest behavior, tries to credit Congress(Indira) for secular nature of Bharath. I’m all for secular constitution. Unfortunately, it is folks like Pincode Pai and Congress party engaged in communal politics. For example – I fully support mocking, ridiculing all religions, religious traditions, symbols and gods. Does Pincode Pai believe in this true secular idea? NO!!!! I believe in equal rights and Uniform Civil Code for all. Does Pincode Pai support this idea? NO!!!!

Original R.Pai – “It was the tolerant sanaathana dharma culture that allowed foreign religions to reach Bharatha and survive for centuries!!” ORIGINAL RSS CLAIMS THAT “tolerant sanaathana dharma culture that allowed foreign religions to reach Bharatha and survive for centuries”. HE DOES NOT KNOW THE SUBJECT, NOR HE KNOWS THE MEANING OF THE WORD “SANATANA” NEITHER THE AGGRESSIVE CHRISTIANS NOR THE AGGRESSIVE MUSLIMS ALLOWED ANY OTHER RELIGIONS TO SURVIVE ANY WHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE THEY RULED EVEN FOR A BRIEF PERIOD. TOLERANCE DID NOT DO ANY THING. IT IS THE INTRINSIC STRENGTH AND INDESTRUCTIBILITY OF THE SANATANA DHARMA, WHICH MADE THE RELIGION SURVIVE ONE THOUSAND YEARS OF CONTINUOUS CRUEL RULE BY THE ALIEN AGGRESSORS. IT DID NOT SURVIVE BECAUSE OF RSS, AS DUPLICATE PAI TELLS BY HIS MAKE BELIEVE STORY. WHY HAS RSS JOINED HANDS WITH THE ANTI HINDU SEPARATIST MUSLIM GROUP TO FORM THE GOVERNMENT IN KASHMIR? WHY THE RSS HAS JOINED HANDS WITH THE CHRISTIANS IN GOA, NORTH EASTERN STATES, ETC? WHY RSS IS NOT IMPOSING BAN ON COW SLAUGHTER IN THOSE STATES? WHY BJP IMPOSES BAN ON COW SLAUGHTER ONLY IN HINDU MAJORITY STATES? STOP FOOLING HINDUS TO ENABLE RSS TO ENJOY POWER TO RULE ON FALSE ALARMS AND FALSE PROMISES. RSS WANTS TO RULE INDIANS BY CREATING A HOAX OF “HINDUS REQUIRING PROTECTION FROM OTHER RELIGIONS WHICH ARE ANTI HINDUS AND SUPPORTED BY THE CONGRESS” AND, THEY JOIN HANDS WITH THE ANTI HINDUS AND ANTI NATIONALS TO RULE THE COUNTRY BY FOOLING THE HINDUS!

V have now come to a situation where people making money in Muslim gulf and Christian west are comparing tolerance with reference to gulf n Pakistan. Shows their level. If compared with Europe n U.S. where even cities have converted to Hinduism or Islam n churches converted to temples n mosque. If people are really nature, they should steep to a level to compare with such great developed nations instead of gulf or pal. India grew ALL these years because of tolerance from centuries but will go to figs if it follows doorstep of Pakistan or Arabs. As v sow, so v reap. Look at the intolerant countries where they spewed hatred n r now bleeding to death. Tolerance is very important n also freedom of speech n rights to give away awards until v want to be globally ostracized n our 15% Indians nris or Indians settled abroad to be sent back to the already shortage of jobs n infrastructure India. Think big….be open to grow. Awards does NOT take credibility unless v want it.

  • From Mangal on Bengaluru: Rahul Gandhi faces embarassing moments in  Mount Carmel college

This article, as released by PTI, carries no author. So obviously it is yet another press release. The globetrotter and his 56-inch-all-over partner have built their empire through press releases. The press-releases are either to damage the reputation of certain Congress party functionaries, or press-releases praising the accomplishments of themselves. But when you try to scrutinise the accomplishments of the globetrotter and his 56-inch-all-over partner, you end up seeing nothing of substance. A short while ago there was a publicity of vastly improved FDI into India at US$31 billions in six months – beating the figures of US and China. But when a little scrutiny was made by the surprised financial analysts, what they ended up seeing was the figure of US$19 billion as recorded by the Reserve Bank of India. We must be happy that, despite all these press releases, the Delhi and Bihai voters, voted people of substance. In Delhi the BJP managed 3 wins out of 70. In Bihar, less than 25% wins. I don’t think the voters dislike BJP so much. It is the globetrotter and his 56-inch-all-over partner that the voters seem to reject.

This could be someone using fake profile or not. Either way, I really hope that police will find the culprit and make him/her fact the legal consequence.-Atheist Mr.Original Sir, Only in Modi’s India such characters who upload fake ‘viral video’ uploader Sangeet Singh Som was one of the politicians that provoked mobs in Muzaffarnagar district. The video, which the police have decried as a fake, showed a mob lynching two boys. And although, it has since been revealed video was clearly shot in Afghanistan or Pakistan, a large section of the population believed the incidents of the video had actually taken place in a village in Muzaffarnagar, which subsequently led to the deadly riots that killed 48 people. Later BJP MLA Sangeet Som booked under National Security Act Amit Shah accorded Z+ security; Muzaffarnagar riot accused Sangeet Som. http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-amit-shah-accorded-z-security-muzaffarnagar-riot-accused-sangeet-som-and-suresh-rana-get-z-security-2062961 While Videsh Sanchar Pradhanmantri Modi continues his globetrotting, his hardcore Bhaktas takes charge of daily trolls on social media. It even comes in different forms like “original mangoes from Angola”. I don’t think I can sum this up better than Tarek Fatak. Let me quote his response to Amir’s comments: “I don’t blame Aamir Khan for saying, a Muslim can never have sword & Quran together. He’s good man who hasn’t studied any Islamic history”.-Atheist Mr.Original Sir,Tarek Fatah is a Pakistani-born Canadian writer, broadcaster, secular, progressive, gay rights supporter and liberal activist, whose musings have sometimes led him into trouble with religious groups. Commencing his journalistic career as a reporter for the Karachi Sun in 1970, Tarek Fatah briefly served as an investigative journalist for Pakistani television before he settled in Saudi Arabia, later migrating to Canada where he started hosting a weekly Toronto-based current affairs talk show called Muslim Chronicle, focusing on the Muslim community, from 1996 to 2006. Tarek has contributed op-ed pieces for various publications including Time magazine, The Toronto Star, The National Post, The Globe and Mail. For a person whose own parents migrated from India in 1947 and found freedom and prosperity in Pakistan, who commenced his career here, such vitriolic comments are one sided. Perhaps the erudite scholar needs to do some soul searching instead of playing to the gallery and present an objective picture rather than flow with the Pakistan-bashers’ tide in his musings. Fatah admittedly suffers from the problem of an identity crisis. He is using mighty of pen to tarnish religion.Cheap journalist. Jai Hind

Shaikh Mohd. Rizwan, Personalities like Tarek Fattah, Maroof Raza, M.J. Akbar, Dr. Qanta A. Ahmed, et al are very secular, broad-minded and have a live-and-let-live attitude and I find it a great experience to listen to their lectures, because they are knowledgeable and speak the facts, which pseudos and/or fanatical elements cannot digest, simply because they are not ready to face it. They live in a dream world of their own and have primitive minds. The personalities I have mentioned are highly respected in their fields and have a large following, though people who are pseudos would prefer to follow some mullahs or kazis who are, at best, illiterates or semi-literates and schooled in Madrassas. They have a mindset of 630 A.D. and prefer to have Sharia laws in these modern times. These laws have no applicability these days, are repulsive, sickening and gory. In Riyadh, there is a large school that trains muttawas (who are, to put it in mild English, a pain-in-the-neck for most people, who want to walk on the street, do shopping, have beverages at cafes, go along with females, females not having to cover themselves from head to toe etc.), without anyone troubling them and without everything coming to a standstill during the prayer times. The Royal Family and the Muttawas are hand-in-glove, because both have to exist and make hay while the sun shines. If the absolute monarchy ends in Saudi Arabia, then muttawas will be chased and hounded by the public and the Shias of the Eastern Province, who have been discriminated. harassed, jailed on flimsy charges or killed, will celebrate. Shaikh Mohd. Rizwan, please remove the cobwebs from your mind and live in the 21st century. I know there are fringe organizations in India who are a pain too, but they fade into insignificance compared to what is happening in some countries of the world in the name of religion. Take for instance Pakistan. Have they ever had a non-Sunni or non-Muslim as a President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Service Chiefs, etc. They are persecuting minorities in the name of religion, indulging in crimes and vices, selling adulterated medicines, milk, donkey meat, etc. There are many Pakistanis, who are paedophiles and terrorists. Amongst Pakistanis, there are some anchors and journalists who speak the facts, viz. Hassan Nisar, Najam Sethi and others. It was wrong for Pakistan to have Urdu as the national language, because that language has no connection with them and is an import from Lucknow. Though, Pakistanis and Indians are biologically the same and similar racial stock, however, they call Indians as non-believers and kiss-the—- of Arabs and call them as brothers, christen their children with Arabic names, grovel in front of them for money and call themselves as true Muslims when, in fact, they have given haven to notorious criminals like Dawood Ibrahim, Tiger Memom, Hafez Saeed, Osama bin Laden, Mullah Omar and plethora of other undesirables.

Dear readers, Well only Kavi thread in the hands and saffron outfit with big Tilak is missing. Pejawar is the senior most religious figure in this region. He suppose to be the spiritual guide for the misguided young youths in his society.Unfortunately these days he seems to be more interested in politics than the upliftment of society. Recently seer had questioned the chief minister whether he will keep quiet if someone eats pork in front of a masjid or throws slaughtered pig on the premises of a masjid or dargah. How can a real Swamiji speak in such a cheap manner? Swamiji should realise VHP leader Ashok Singhal has gone to the pyres dreaming Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. One of the bloodiest history in recent days which left 5,000 people killed across India and nearly 10,000 crores in damages. It should be also recalled that swamiji remained supportive in the last few days prior to Babri Masjid demolition. Instead of embroiling controversies by provocation, I request Swamiji in his late age do some constructive business to bridge gap in the society. Will Swamiji address the core issues like dowry, unemployment, women security, abolition of untouchability, prostitution, female foeticide, checking communal violence………??? Will he take the call of PM Modi ‘Toilet before temple’? Swamiji should strive for ‘Ram Rajya’ and pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi for giving us Independence. Jai Hind

The fact that this didn’t even make it to headlines in India and everything went without a glitch allowing these guys to embrace the faith of their choice is a great testimony to tolerance that thrives in Bharatha. This shows how the recent ‘intolerance’ propaganda by religious bigots in certain minority groups and political parties were absolutely based on lies and dishonesty!! This is the tolerance that Sanaathana dharma has shown for more than 2000 years. Unlike other expansionist religions, sanaathana dharma doesn’t try to punish its followers for being open minded about other truths!! This is why other religions in Bharataha didn’t get wiped out. However, the same thing can’t be said about other religions and societies where all the older religions/faiths were wiped out by invading religions. If you want proof, take a look at Europe or middle east!! Question for Taqqiyya Expert Shaikh and Pincode Pai: What’s the punishment for apostasy in Islam? In other words, what would have happened if 500 muslims had converted into Budhism in a Islamic society? smiles…

  • From Nelson Lewis on Betting in Goa

Since 2007, I have travelled to Goa many times and I feel it is a peaceful state and a tourist attraction. It is anyday better than Karnataka, Gujarat, U.P. and Bihar. If you have friends and relations in Goa, then one can save a lot of money by spending judiciously and by hectic bargaining, which I used to do. However, one has to be careful with money. Most restaurants are run by Shetty community (from Mangalore) and Goans. North Indians and Keralites too have eateries. They know most of the clients who come to Goa are tourists coming there to have a good time and splurge and these scoundrels rip them off. When I go to Goa, I avoid going to Udipi restaurants and if I go there, then I check their menu. Some of them charge as much as Rs. 55/- for a plate of idli. I asked a restaurateur, “Hey, Are you running a restaurant in New York or London,” and he laughed and replied,”Sir, this is Goa.” I told him, “Thank you for enlightening me and I am aware this is Goa and can tell you more information about this place and its history, then you are aware of. You have no business ethics at all, because in Mangalore I had a plate of idli for Rs. 7/- with chutney and sambar (in 2013) and I am sure that their quality is far superior to yours. Would you sell your idli for Rs. 55/- in Mangalore or face the prospect of putting your shutters down?” I said loudly, so that all customers could hear me loud and clear. Goa is a tourism-oriented state and though alcohol is flowing like milk and honey, there are no drunkards and one can go to a restaurant and bars for tipple. If one does not buy bottles from a liquor outlet, then one can go to a bar and have a peg of home-made feni for Rs. 10/- which is cheaper than having tea. There are two ships conducting casinos at any given time on the Masndovi river. For law and order sake, permissiveness is better than enacting strict or vague laws which only enrich corrupt politicians, police and excise.

“This does not apply to B.N. Pai or any supporter of the Congress Party!,” by B.N. Pai. You have mentioned this, because you suffer from guilt complex. On this forum you have been unashamedly defending the Dynasty members at all times, even when they have intentionally committed blunders to fool the people, misgovern the country, make money on the sly, etc. Filmstars have chamchas, so also the Dynasty has and one is totally devoted and committed to them. He sing praises of them, does prayers for their good health and prosperity and before you tipple you raise a toast for your icons. How sweet and considerate of you? The High Command will be highly pleased with you. Show the same dedication to your icons and, who knows, one day your efforts will be encashed with rewards. Probably, they will appoint you as a ……or a ……..to one of the Dynasty members. Pai Saheb, joog, joog jiyo ………………

        • From B.N.Pai on Political Frustration of a Star Neta

Nelson Lewis – “On this forum you have been unashamedly defending the Dynasty members at all times, even when they have intentionally committed blunders to fool the people, misgovern the country, make money on the sly, etc.” Some Perdru always says all Indian politicians have intentionally committed blunders to fool the people, misgovern the country, make money on the sly, etc. He has not approved even a single political party. That suffices by way of answer to the allegation made against me. Now, as regards the allegation, “On this forum you have been unashamedly defending the Dynasty members at all times”, I have to state that I never voluntarily blown my trumpet, but only rebutted whenever the Congress is unduly accused. Since accusing Congress has become a fashion on this forum till recently, my rebuttals give a wrong impression that I use this forum to glorify Congress. Should I not rebut when accused of? Is it fair-play and natural justice to deny one his right to defend, when accused of? I am sure Congress will not allow India to become a ‘banana republic’! His misplaced sense of personal ego does not allow Nelson Lewis to admit the fact that he wants to shift from India due to the present dispensation. Poor fellow!

If it is so that how can it be promoted in the films who censor unwarranted scenes or undergo a certification process of Adult and Universal Viewing. A number of U and UA certified films show this as a pretty normal. It means viewing is acceptable but actually performing the act is punishable. the saying “seeing is believing” means what is seen needs to be followed and acted upon. Looking at the amount of filth in Mangauluru, I wonder what our elected representatives are doing? We are a third-world nation because we act like one!! This has nothing to do with technology or money. This is purely the result of our third-world mindset where we can walk the same streets without doing anything but criticize Shree Modiji who tried to motivate our country to do something about it.

Original R. Pai – “Great job by Raamakrishna folks. Where are other institutions ? Can they stop thinking about politics for once and do something to make our city look better?” Ramakrishna Mission hails Swachcha Bharath. It is a diversionary tactics by Modi to de-focus Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations as the “Martyrs Day”, so that in a short time Gandhi would be forgotten and brooms would be remembered. Modi’s office has the statue of Vivekananda and Modi pretends to pays high regards to him. Ramakrishna Mission does not know the real facts and have fallen to his tokenism. It is very likely that Modi installs Godse’s statue and the Godse Mission too would celebrate it with pomp and festivity. The Ramakrishna Missionaries are not masters of worldly cunning of the political foxes.

Thanks for your comments. 1) In politics, comparisons are not made. Politics is a game of opportunism, timing and negotiations. There are no permanent friends and enemies in politics. 2. If a sagacious, self respected and competent politician feels that he/she is being overlooked for whatever reasons are, such a politician should either fight smartly within the boundaries of the parties rank and file or keep quiet, have patience for good time to come and maintain loyalty to the party. If cannot do these, then resign from the that party and gain self respect. 3. If the politician is keeping left leg in the party and moving his right leg thinking to move either in RJD/JDU or Congress, then it is not a fair game rather is of opportunism and distrust. 4. There are always ups and downs in politics, however, if one have patience and maintains loyalty to the party, one day the fruits will be there. For example, take the case of our current President of India, his excellency, Pranab K. Mukerjee. What happened to him in Congress just after untimely demise of Indira Gandhi?. However, despite all these, he maintained strong loyalty to the Congress. For any reason, he could not become PM of the country, but Congress ultimately rewarded him for his loyalty, competency and fascinating leadership. He was chosen the candidate for Presidentship and got elected. He is the most respectable name in Indian political scenario. I can only wish the Star Neta all the best.

  • From William D'souza on Mangaluru: Guidelines for Media Reporting on Children by Childline 1098

Read the above article appreciated. But Why isn’t any action taken on the ground. I have seen many children employed in eateries ….restaurants….petty stores etc…. when asked about these to the so called owners they reply ” NON OF YOUR BUSINESS” they have raided our apartment where I stay and have put notices that no child shall be employed for works at home. Then Why hasn’t the same done for such eateries…. My personal request to the child care committee is rather than giving a press conference…. you better go all around the city and have a look…. But when u go …Go as a normal personal see the facts and then you can take action. I stay in Falnir and i Advice you to go through all the shops and petty stores and eatery on a stretch from Kankanady to Falnir ….You will come to know what i’m saying…. Lastly let me make it simple…. i have seen a boy employed by ‘ Vrindhavan Fast Food’ near highland coffee works….when asked why a child was employed to clean plates….the people on the fast food said….if you want have the food here or just leave….who are you to question…. The irony is that even i have seen Police people….Traffic Police people and the new made Traffic Squads people visiting the same….. But none of them raised voice and when i raised….they tried to calm me down….saying don’t create tensions….

Dear readers, Why do Naxals never attack churches in Chhattisgarh, asks RSS leader Indresh Kumar http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-why-do-naxals-never-attack-churches-in-chhattisgarh-asks-rss-leader-indresh-kumar-2145681 “Naxals have never targeted churches and priests just because they serve them or is there some other reason?” he asked, while interacting with reporters on the sidelines of a programme organised by Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS) here, to discuss Left wing insurgency prevailing in south Chhattisgarh. Stating that he was putting “a few questions” before the Christian community and others working in Bastar region, the RSS leader said arms and huge sums of foreign money have been supplied to Naxals. Putting behind the recent memory of the 2008 church attacks and Kandhamal in odisha some Catholics are enthusiastically joining hands with the RSS and the Bajrang Dal against an ancient foe – Tipu Sultan.Franklin Montiero, formerly a Hindu Jagarana Vedike president and state vice-president of the BJP minority morcha, said there is widespread dislike for Tipu among Catholics in coastal Karnataka. “The Congress wants to pit one minority against another. At a point of time there was a slogan by RSS combine, “Pehle Kasai Phir Isai” (First the Muslims then the Christians). That was the pattern of communal violence. It is wake up call for the minority Christians of India. Jai Hind

It is ridiculous to claim Mangalorean Catholics are joining hands with the RSS because they denounced the celebration of Tipu’s birth anniversary. Mangalorean Catholics were denouncing the tyranny and cruelty of Tipu Sultan for centuries before the RSS stole the message.

Too much pollution , too much noise and too much drinking and partying is spoiling the city. Wish people get more holidays to enjoy at home with family and not at Malls. Bunds will reduce communal clashes and murders. I really enjoy envying my forefathers who used to walk around the place , no traffic. Talk to people and work hard, enjoy festivals ,have a good siesta ,less tensions and less diseases and die a peaceful death. Hope we also get it. Last Friday’s bandh was simply a waste of time and money, just like other bandhs that take place every now and then across India. The employees and students of DK and mangaluru waited because of the undisputed holiday that they would get. The shopkeeper’s waited because of the surge in sales before and after the strike that they would get. Media waited (with baited breath) to create a highly hyped event out of this. Other than that this bandh was sheer waste of time and money-resulting also in loss of revenue.

It’s really sad and unfortunate when a person decides to badmouth India and sanaathana dharma right after Paris attacks, drawing moral equivalence between isolated incidents in India to daily massacres by terrorist groups. How can anyone take this seriously is beyond me. It is more and more clear that the folks crying about intolerance are the most intolerant ones probably because of some historical, cultural reasons!! Either way, this is very unfortunate.

Dear readers, Did you know that the return of awards by writers, film-makers and scientists was a plot hatched jointly by the United States of America, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan? Well, if you did not, you will probably not ever understand why the ‘tolerant’ multitude that turned out at Anupam Kher’s March for India rally today, could so vilely abuse and attack NDTV’s Bhairavi Singh and Aaj Tak’s Mousmi Singh. After all, it is one thing for the netas to simulate their anger and laughter on TV channels and elsewhere, but how do you actually get ordinary people to go crazy? How and why does the ordinary Hindutva footsoldier act the way he or she does? Basically, he (and occasionally, she) is made to believe things that most people would know to be false. So why does as innocuous an act as the returning of awards by writers become such a big threat to India’s position in the world and to the very existence of the government of the day? Well, because, it is not a simple matter of some writers acting out of their conscience but already a part of an international conspiracy plotted by the US-Saudi Arabia-Pakistan nexus! How the Hindutva Propaganda Machine Manufactures Lies http://kafila.org/2015/11/07/how-the-hindutva-propaganda-machine-manufactures-lies/ While Parliament committee leader Venkaiah Naidu wanted to debate ‘intolerance’ the nefarious element of request to all Modi Govt supporters, please don’t fall in TRAP. Dear readers, It is good coverage by the author. Once a peaceful, friendly known for hospitality and destiny for every youth for education became a hotbed for fanaticism. Today’s plight of Mangalore, all credit goes to RSS crony sister organisations and BJP’s elected members. To some extent mass media is directly responsible which ‘Sangh parivar’ use as platform under the banner of ‘Press club of Mangalore’. The saffronisation of police department during BJP’s regime under Late Home minister Dr.Acharya and Mr.Ashok will be held accountable, which was bursted by the sting operation of ‘Cobrapost’. From the two decades Mangalore is under the ruling of BJP.The city must have long achieved ‘Acche Din’ but sadly left trail of bad memories and in highlight for wrong reason all around the world. Since the tourism is the only source of revenue they have, they try everything possible to keep the show going! As far as Bandh goes, I’ve made my views very clear. It should be made illegal and whoever calls for bandh should face the consequence along with heavy penalty. Nobody has the right to disrupt the life of other individuals. However, our legal system allows Bandhs and political outfits take full advantage of the weakness.

How many Travelers to Mangalore went Hungry and Scared for Life. This article is a message to and for NRI Parents to think twice or more times before sending them here for studies. Every other week there is Picket,March,Procession, fights,Bundhs and killings. How safe are we in Mangalore anymore. Smart City is nothing but another avenue to milk the public. Many of you have seen Cats scratching the tree bark to sharpen their nails until the Bark is all gone, and only Stump will remain. Same way after scratching 1000 Crores only the name “Smart City” will remain and rest will be gone. Almost every scheme of Govt. is robbed in name of something. May be Lokayukta should do back ground check of people involved in this scheme. Very Informative Article for Common Person.

Only when these so called intellectual beg for the awards repeatedly and keep sending reminders then the government gives them the awards. Once these get this award then they spend all the award money, get famous by going to every news paper and television by showing it and then end of the day they start blackmailing the same government which gave them this awards. Who is this Mahadeva? Did he deserve the awards in the first place and who gave him the awards? Awards should not be so cheap and politically connected as anyone can receive such awards and return them whenever they want. Instead, these awardees, if they really deserve the awards should advise the Government as what they can do to help the government to alleviate the problems and not what the government can do to satisfy their politically motivated egos.

If there are Feku’s anywhere in the world, first prize should go to Subramanian Swamy and second to Narendra Modi. They are actually in competition for first and second spots all the time. This foul mouth swamy is the most dangerous man for any country. He spoils the atmosphere with his lies and created fictions to misguide the general public and create a kind of intolerance in the country. The best example is his story of Sunanda Pushker murdered with some radioactive material. The government had to spend millions in sending her vecera to FBI and the result was nothing. Fortunately or unfortunately he is a BJP member.

The elevation of Modi and BJP to power in center has emboldened the saffron fanatics. Mangalore which shortlisted as the only city in Karnataka for ‘smart city’ is day in day out getting famous worldwide for wrong reasons. Once known for friendly, hospitality education hub is slowly turning to be Nagpur of Karnataka.Surprising this is also called intelligence peoples distinct whose minds are deeply divided beyond any repair. The leniency of police department is one of the single biggest cause for communal violence in this twin district.Where is BJP MP Nalin Kumar? Why he is not helping the district administration to curb the violence? Why is leading the protest with the saffron fanatics who are hell bent disturbing the peace? Dear readers, The Karnataka ruling party Congress has become complicit of communal instigator due to the soft approach. It is from the time of BJP ruling in Karnataka Mutalik name and association of his organisation is propped in Hubli court yard and Sangli blasts in Maharashtra was thrown under the carpet. The ruling party has shown no interest in pursuing the cases pending against him despite open distribution of lethal weapons in public rallies. Is constitution of India is definitely applicable for being fanatic leader of organisation caught in money for riots? It is no doubts in the minds of minorities and those Hindu brothers, a saffronisation of Police department is very successful programmed under Late Home Minister of BJP Dr Acharya and Mr.Ashok both proud RSS followers. From the sting operation of Cobrapost it has certainly made doubt more stronger. If the spree of communal frenzy atmosphere continues in the Karnataka, it is no doubt that Congress will face the worst the of Maharashtra or no return like UP and Bihar post Babri Masjid. This is the wake up call for CM Siddu government,to use the new Home Minister to bring back the peace and prosperity in the region very effectively and zero tolerance communal violence. Jai Hind

This “chaltha hai” attitude is at the root of this incidence. This episode proves that we Indians do not want to follow the rules -it’s the way of life for us. Just look at the traffic discipline for example and so many deaths as a consequence in the coastal region. We take things for granted and when busted we turn into cry-babies. We even bring religion and culture into the debate (even eminent scholars who are settled in the West gave their expert commentary on this forum to criticise the country while saying not a word against the people who broke the law). Kuwaiti authorities are well within their rights to act like the way they did. After all they have a country to run. Their native population is well below 30% of the total population so there is always this sense of uneasiness so they want to make sure they do not encourage this public gatherings without permission and hence probably wanted to make an example out of this case for the rest of the people to see. If you don’t want to obey the law in a foreign country then don’t go there. In India you have all the liberty.

Congress Government Behind Killing of Hindus in Violence After Tipu Jayanti – Shobha Karandlaje Dear readers, Once again cheap politics of polarization from ‘Bhartiya Danga party’. A report compiled by the Union Home Ministry showed that in the first five months of 2015, incidents of communal clashes have risen by almost 25% as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year when the Congress-led UPA-II was in power. Incidents of communal violence go up in first six months of 2015 http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-incidents-of-communal-violence-go-up-in-first-six-months-of-2015-2110341 Not so peaceful after all: In 2015, communal clash deaths in India have spiked by 25 percent http://www.firstpost.com/india/not-so-peaceful-after-all-in-2015-communal-clash-deaths-in-india-have-spiked-by-25-percent-2356178.html Incidents of communal violence in the country have gone up in the first six months of 2015 compared to the corresponding period last year, with 330 riots reported till June this year in which 51 people lost their lives. According to Home Ministry data, there were 330 incidents of communal violence between January and June, 2015 in comparison to 252 in the first six months of 2014. Altogether 51 people have lost their lives and 1,092 others injured in communal violence so far this year. As many as 33 people had lost their lives in first six months of last year. There were 644 riots in the entire 2014 in which 95 people were killed and 1,921 injured. Mangal has made a good point. The same applies to some commenters here whose only purpose seems to create fissures in the society with vicious, but needless, posts. If the same energy, webtime, patience and single-minded mission are used for constructive purposes, our country would be a far better place to live in. Looking at the long posts some people contribute here makes me wonder if they are sincere at their workplaces or just waste their time on such unethical activities.

One is bewildered to see the amount of energy spent by tens of thousands of people in the state who are either for celebrating the Tipu Jayanthi or opposed to the same. Tipu, like all rulers of his time, would have done many good things and many bad things. But he is long dead and gone! No matter what Jayanthi is celebrated in his name, he won’t be part of it. So, while I am not supporting the Jayanthi, I suppose, I won’t oppose it either. If indeed the state government goes ahead with a date dedicated for the Jayanthi, the school kids might be very pleased – regardless of the political mood around them. But just for a moment imagine the quantum of the energy wasted by the warring mobs in the name of a long dead ruler! What if that energy is put to some constructive use? I am sure several houses could be built for the poor people. Or perhaps a few small bridges could be built. Or roads and pavements cleared of rubbish. But then, politics is important, I guess, to keep people entertained in our country.

Dear readers, The Kalinga war, the only major war Ashoka fought after his accession to throne, is one of the major and bloodiest battles in world history. At least 0.1 million Kalingans were killed while another 0.15 million were taken prisoners. And almost equal number of Magadha soldiers were also killed. There was not a single man left in Kalinga to live a life of slavery. There was large scale conversion to Buddhism during the period of Asoka in 2nd Century B.C.Indian is known to be birthplace of ‘Buddhism’ is now only considered minorities. The Ashoka Chakra is a depiction of the dharmachakra; represented with 24 spokes. It is so called because it appears on a number of edicts of Ashoka, most prominent among which is the Lion Capital of Ashoka.Though trail of bloody history and conversion the Indian national flag still carries edicts of Ashoka. Britain may have invaded 90 per cent of the world, but they are not hated everywhere. The Saint George’s Cross. In the Union Flag this represents the entire Kingdom of England, including Wales. It is still visible in many colonized nation in the world. Did BJP oppose the ‘Ashoka’ chakra in our national flag for conversion? A BJP political wing of RSS, will ask Modi to cut the Diplomatic relation with UK for the past history? Did they hate Tipu for wearing finger ring stamped ‘Ram’ being Muslim? Did they consider Maratha warrior Shivaji is still Hindu for looting Sringeri temple? The BJP selective outrage is political motivated. The Siddu government has given unnecessary provocation by celebrating Tipu Jayanti.A BJP is known polarization for majority vote bank it has become trump card.It is nothing but early assembly election preparation stocking communal tension. In the past Amit shah already laid commemoration in north east Karnataka with Hyderbad border. BJP has already realised Mandir,Beef,Hubli Idgah flag hoisting is not enough to polarizing.A Tipu become a subject of another controversy which Kannadigas need to understand before another wave of Muzaffarnagar happens in our door step. In the past, whatever activities related to Tippu Sultan were not successful. I do not know why but its a fact. None of the plays/drama/nataka related to Tippu Sultan in Mysore were successful. Most of the plays by Nataka Company were failed due to fire to the tents or some natural calamity in and around the area. Bollywood Actor Sanjay Khan knowing the fact, challenged the same and ventured into making film Tippu Sultan in late 80’s but sustained severe burn injury due to fire at the movie set and was quickly shifted to Bangalore Hospital. It is better to be cautious and away from Tippu Sultan related issues.

I also noticed how he has carefully avoided any ‘peaceful’ activities by his community. Otherwise, he would have mentioned something about thousands and thousands of temples destroyed including Sri raama janma bhoomi temple at Ayodhya. He could have also mentioned millions and millions forcefully converted by ‘peaceful’ folks which eventually resulted in a failed state called Pakistaana. I understand that his ‘taqiyya’ tradition compels him to state facts very selectively. This is the greatness of ‘Bunch of thoughts’ who wants to saffronisation of education system.Though Tipu may be controversial figure for BJP on conversion issue, the reality of RSS is already exposed to the world when they started ‘Ghar wapsi’ program and wanted to convert the whole world before 2022. As far as Ram temple citizens of India already realised when they started collecting ‘Bricks’ but neither ‘Toilets’ nor ‘Temple was built. • From shAIKH mOHD rizwan on New Delhi: VHP blames Karnataka government for activist's death

Tippu Sultan has not only destroyed Christian Churches but he forcibly converted Christians in to Muslim faith, those who opposed this move was eliminated, that is what our elders used to say.-Ex Sgt George A Borromeo Sir,This is the second time in the recent past that the enigmatic ruler had evoked strong sentiments more than 200 years after his death, when he fell fighting the British on May 4, 1799 at Srirangapatna. It was two years ago that a similar furor was witnessed when the government decided to establish a central university near Mysuru named after the warrior ruler and was opposed by BJP leaders. Religious conversion was not something unique only to Tipu Sultan and existed in India since historical times. “There was large scale conversion to Buddhism during the period of Asoka in 2nd Century B.C., while Hinduism got State patronage during the Gupta era from 4th Century A.D. to 6th Century A.D. In later centuries, Sri Ramanujacharya converted Bittideva of Hoysala dynasty from Jainism to Sri Vaishnavism and he assumed the name of Vishnuvardhana,” incidents of conversion cannot be the only criterion to judge Tipu Sultan. There are records that he helped Sringeri Mutt, which had come under attack of the Marathas while he contributed to the maintenance of Sri Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangapatna and Srikanteshwara temple at Nanjangud,. While India being birthplace of Buddhism where are all those Buddist go? A Jainism is the dominate religion in the coastal Karnataka even before Tipu,French,British stepped up.Why the Hinduism is majority in this belt once flourished with Jainism? In the state of Goa every upper caste who migrated to the coastal Karnataka has ‘Kuldevata’ back then. There are wide scale of atrocities in Goa and winter capital ooty. Every history has left some painful memories. Tipu sultan may tyrant or bigot,he will answer the Almighty. As Mr.Roy expressed ” The observance of Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary was an incredibly stupid political decision”. It has given ammunition to the RSS stock the communal tension. A common man become a victims of undue controversy. Mangalore is known to district of intelligent people.Perhaps maybe this is just assumption. But Bihari compared to the Rickshawala seems to be wiser than us. After all we elected BJP with mass majority. Jai hind

  • From shAIKH mOHD rizwan on Udupi: District Administration Celebrates Tipu Sultan's Birth Anniversary Peacefully

highly respected figure, then I believe the unanimous choice would be our beloved ex President APJ Abdul Kalam -Mr.Jay Sir,Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former president of India and their “missile man” in his autobiography describes how Tipu’s rocket research, originally commissioned by his father Hyder Ali, helped the development of the Congreve system — “When Tipu Sultan was killed, the British captured more than 700 rockets and subsystems of 900 rockets in the battle of Turukhanahally in 1799. His army had 27 brigades, called Kushoons and each brigade had a company of rocket men called Jourks. These rockets had been taken to England by William Congreve and were subjected by the British to what we call “reverse engineering” today.” The British have a wonderful habit of keeping records, publishing them and making them widely available. And so it is that we come across a book published in 1893 Haidar Ali and Tipu Sultan and the struggle with the Musalman Powers of the South written by Lewin B. Bowring who served as the chief commissioner of Mysore. If Late president hails Tipu Sultan for the rocket technology in his own biography, why Jayanti for Kalam? There are more Indian Muslims died fought in Indian freedom struggle will be told by our history, media or those protest parties. ROLE OF MUSLIMS IN THE FREEDOM MOVEMENT-II http://www.radianceweekly.com/268/7501/the-arab-autumn/2011-08-21/independence-day/story-detail/role-of-muslims-in-thefreedom-movement-ii.html Top Muslim Freedom Fighters Of India http://www.ranker.com/list/top-muslim-freedom-fighters-of-india-v3/saket India’s Freedom Struggle http://www.kamat.com/kalranga/freedom/muslim_contribution.htm History is unkind to Tipu Sultan. The fact is that Tipu cannot be reduced to a singular narrative or tradition of intolerance or bigotry as he represented multiple traditions. He combined tolerant inter-religious traditions, liberal and secular traditions, anti-colonialism and internationalism. He could do this as he had strong roots in Sufism, which is not explored much by historians. He belonged to the Chisti/Bande Nawaz tradition of Sufism. In fact, Tipu was radical in more than one sense. He was the first to ban consumption of alcohol in the entire State, not on religious grounds, but on moral and health grounds. He went to the extent of saying: “A total prohibition is very near to my heart.” He is credited with introducing missile or rocket technology in war. He was the first to introduce sericulture to the then Mysore state. He was the first to confiscate the property of upper castes, including Mutts, and distribute it among the Shudras. He is also credited with sowing the seeds of capitalist development at a time when the country was completely feudal. He thought about constructing a dam across the Cauvery in the present-day location of Krishnaraja Sagar. He completed the task of establishing a biodiversity garden named Lal Bagh. His tolerance is reflected in his annual grants to no less than 156 temples, which included land deeds and jewellery. His army was largely composed of Shudras. When the famed Sringeri Mutt, established by Shankaracharya, was invaded by the Maratha army, he issued a firman to provide financial assistance for reinstallation of the holy idol and restoring the tradition of worship at the Mutt. His donation to the famous Srikanteshwara temple at Nanjangud; the donation of 10,000 gold coins to complete temple work at Kanchi; settling the disputes between two sects of priests at the Melkote temple; and gifts to Lakshmikanta temple at Kalale are all well-known. Interestingly, Srirangapatna, a temple town, remained his permanent capital till the end of his rule. He was also instrumental in constructing the first-ever church in Mysuru. Incidentally, well-known historian B.A. Saletore calls him “defender of Hindu Dharma”. The allegation of forcible conversions has to be seen in the background of political exigencies — either they were with the colonialists such as in the case of Christians of Dakshina Kannada, or were waging a protracted guerrilla war as in the case of Coorg. Here, historians have distorted the facts by reducing political exigencies to the “communal ideology” of Tipu. Tipu’s legacy endures… http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/karnataka/tipus-legacy-endures/article7172027.ece Why this controversy over the Tiger of Mysore Tipu Sultan, who valiantly took on the might of the British empire and accorded all his subjects equal respect, all over again is unfortunate and unnecessary. He is become victim of political struggle which neither Islam encourage nor Kannadigas wanted. The History book was never controversial when we were taught in our school days. Since BJP taken the reins of history and naming of Bangalore International Airport of Srirangapatnam university issue become more politics. If there are bloodshed what is the point of celebrating ‘Jayanti’? Why cannot Karnataka government carry forward the good from Tipu’s regime? Jai hind

  • From Panduranga Pai on Justice Delayed is Nothing but Justice Denied

This is a mockery or a slap on the face of Indian Citizens. This country in fact makes a good living for the rogues, thieves, and bad elements. The Justice department is overloaded with work but for how long do we continue with the same reason for delaying the Justice. Everyone knows that Justice delayed is Justice denied but is the government trying to rectify the problem and find some solution by appointing more Judges as opening new fast courts. People are born and perish and the court does not come up with their judgement and and sometime one life is not enough to get justice. These age old political parties will never let this country to find a solution to this. I dont belong to any political party or any group but when one Indian citizen who was frustrated with the system and tried to revolt against it and formed his own party AAP , many political parties tried to implant their spies and destroy the new party. It got stronger day by day and it is ruling Delhi now. Please don’t take this issue lightly or when someone is making fun of this new party AAP and the leader of the party, please don’t join to do the same. I strongly support Harischandra Hejmady and Kiranchandra Shetty for their patience. It is high time that Judiciary system of this country to realise that it is not too long that the citizens of this country may take the law into their own hands if the Justice is delayed in the way it is happening now. I have known some civil cases pending for more than 40 – 45 years. Also the lawyers should pull up their socks from delaying the cases.

The reporter should be reprimanded for using the term ‘extreme’ to describe the organization involved in this incident. Remember – the terms ‘extreme’ and ‘intolerant’ are to be used only when sanaathana dharma is involved. Other than this small glitch, I really admire the way reporter has avoided any reference to the religion behind this act. After all, we were repeatedly told by the intellectuals (of the lowest order) that these acts or actors have no religion. This is neither a hate crime, not an act inspired directly by religious doctrine. This is certainly not ‘moral policing’. All we need to know is that a few nice gentlemen from a reputed organization got very upset and chopped off a lecturer’s hands. Let’s move on and focus on more important stuff like how India has turned into an intolerant nation because of an ink attack!!

The observance of Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary was an incredibly stupid political decision. RSS and its affiliates, after suffering a massive political defeat, was on the defensive. Congress could claim it was the party of social peace and harmony but CM Siddaramiah could not leave well enough alone. He decided to shoot himself in the foot, observe Tipu’s birth anniversary and stir up communal tensions. Siddaramiah has handed a victory to the RSS/BJP after it had suffered one of the worst political defeats. The world has turned upside down. Bihar has wiser political leaders than Karnataka.

Dear readers, This is the reason BJP wanted ‘Saffronisation of education system’. The Karnataka outgoing BJP State government initiate this project “indoctrinating young minds by “Hinduising” textbooks along the lines of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideology. K’taka saffronising school texts: Panel http://archive.indianexpress.com/news/k-taka-saffronising-school-texts-panel/1060307/ Pointing out specific instances from the class V social science textbook, the committee has said that there is a clear anti-minority bias in content depicting Muslim kings as persecuting Hindu subjects and Hindu kings only fighting Muslim kings. An instance from the class VIII Hindi textbook refers to a lesson on ‘Punyakoti’ where a tiger takes an oath saying that “consumption of cow’s meat is a bad thought; henceforth, I will not eat cow’s meat”, whereas the original Kannada version mentions no such oath. Now the HRD ministry is governed by fake certificate holder in Modi’s ‘Good governance’ even this year shows Dec 25 as both “Christmas Day” and “Good Governance Day”. CBSE again lists December 25 as ‘Good Governance Day’ http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-others/cbse-again-lists-december-25-as-good-governance-day/#sthash.IhBPLW8y.dpuf Now we should ask former RSS leaned Karnataka Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri lesson on ‘Punyakoti’ where a tiger takes an oath saying that “consumption of cow’s meat is a bad thought; henceforth, I will not eat cow’s meat”;the why in Modi’s India ‘Go matta’ is still sacrificed for exports when tiger is ready to go hunger? First of all, the so called VHP leader was not killed.. He jumped a wall and hurt himself thereby causing his own death.. Secondly, the Karnataka government had no business in celebrating the birth of a feudal chieftain called Tipu Sultan. He was not a patriot nor a freedom fighter. He fought against the British to save his own empire, nothing more than that. His atrocities against Hindus and Christians have been well documented. If he had contributed anything towards literature, as Mr. Girish Karnad would like us to believe, then his ‘CONTRIBUTION’ should have been acknowledged during one of the Sahithya Sammelans.. The government of Karnataka has plunged itself into the hot soup cauldron..

You state, sir, “According to historians, Tipu was the only king in the history of world who died on the battlefield fighting the enemies of the country.” Like you, the historians have done no research. Perhaps they had no more education than our globetrotter. If you look up the wikipedia for “Monarchs killed in action”, you get more like TWO HUNDRED of them. So, for you to say that your hero was the only one king to die in battle is a bit preposterous. Perhaps you love your hero more than some research. We all love our heroes no doubt. The British that Tipu fought against were the employees of the East India Company. In reality, that did not represent the British government of the time. But Tipu took help from at least one European Government. The French Government. There were French soldiers and officials advising Tipu. In fact, if the French were not there, Tipu would not possibly have a quarter of the courage to attack the East India Company’s employees. Tipu did not sacrifice his two children for the sake of the country. He lost the battle and the children were taken away as a surety – so that he would pay his dues to the East India Company. But where did he get all that money from to pay the East India Company? He charged heavy taxes from his subjects. Did the subjects willingly pay that tax? I doubt it. Those who could not pay the heavy tax were mercilessly killed by our hero. If our hero had won against the East India Company, the French would have take the Company’s place, and would have eventually controlled India. Would we then call our hero a traitor – the man who got the French firmly established in Hindustan?
