Youth Arrested for Spreading Inciting Messages and Issuing Life Threat to Politicians
Mangaluru: A youth has been arrested by the Vittal police for spreading inciting messages through WhatsApp and issuing life threats to political leaders.
The arrested has been identified as Anwar from Peruvai working in Qatar.
According to sources Anwar and Niyaz from Perivai were calling from Qatar to the youth in Vamanjoor and giving life threats. The Cyber police were monitoring the messages posted on the Social media by Anwar.
Anwar was calling the people from Hindu outfits in Vamanjoor and pressurising them to send messages against CAA and NRC. He was also issuing life threats to political leaders and members of Hindu Outfits. After sending a number of messages and threat calls Anwar came to Mangaluru on vacation.
On January 6, Yathish from Vittal filed a complaint in the Vittal police station. Based on the complaint police arrested Anwar under section 153(A), 504, 505(2) 507 and 34 IPC. Search is on for Niyaz.
