Youth arrested Under POCSO for Impregnating Minor Girl
Mangaluru: A youth has been arrested for raping a minor girl and impregnating her at Ullal here on June 15 night.
The arrested has been identified as Lavakumar alias Shravan from Valacchil.
According to the police, the accused was working in a fast-food canteen in Thokkottu where he had sexually assaulted his owner’s minor daughter. When the girl’s mother came to know that her daughter was pregnant, she filed a complaint in the Ullal police station.
The victim’s mother is running a canteen in Thokkottu, where she had employed Lavakumar who was known to the family. Trusting Lavakumar, the girl’s mother allowed him to stay in their house. Lavakumar befriended the minor girl and raped her.
In this connection, a case was filed in the Ullal police station, and the investigation is on.
