Mysuru: The Mysuru Zoo’s Youth Club activities for 2016 will be held from July to December.
The sessions will be only on Sundays between 10 am and 1-30 pm. High school students, only up to 18 years of age, will be enrolled on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis. Entry is limited to only 60 students who enrol first.
Those selected will be exposed to acquainting themselves with the variety and value of wildlife and captive management of wild animals. They will also be exposed to periodic theory classes, and practical works in the upkeep, feeding, animal behaviour studies, visitor survey, keeper interaction and visitor interaction.
They will be given, besides regular access to the library, coaching on wildlife photography, personality development etc.
Interested students may obtain the requisite application forms from Shri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens with effect from June 10, 2012.
The completed and signed application forms can be submitted along with three stamp-sized colour photographs, promoted marks card for proof, blood group certificate and a fee of Rs1,000 for enrollment, as mentioned already, strictly on ‘first-come-first-served’ basis, from the same date.
