Youth Congress Pledges to Make BJP Free State – Mithun Rai during J R Lobo’s Mega Road Show

Mangaluru: The Congress party workers from Mangaluru South Constituency held a roadshow from Nehru Maidan which passed through Hampankatta – PVS circle – Lady Hill and culminated at the Urwa Market grounds on May 10.

Hundreds of party workers wearing Congress hats and shawls shouted slogans in favour of J R Lobo.

Speaking on the occasion Mangaluru South Constituency candidate J R Lobo said, “Assembly elections will be held on May 12, since today is the last day for campaigning party workers have organized a roadshow. From the Nehru Maidan, we will pass through some of the main places in the city. From the past 15 days, we have visited every house and received a good response. People have special respect towards us for the work we have done. Today we urge the people to vote for Congress and bring it to power.”

Addressing the mediapersons U B Venkatesh said, “Today being the last day for campaigning we have organized a road show from Nehru Maidan. The elections will be held on May 12, I urge the people to vote for Congress.”

District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai said, “In 2013 we had organized a rally on the last day of the campaign. J R Lobo had won the last elections and I am sure he will win in this election too. Our aim is to keep up the hopes the voters have on us, we will keep surely honour our promises. Today we are asking the voters to vote for the Congress and help us to win the elections. Later the Congress party workers pledged that they would make Karnataka a BJP-free state”.

 

Rajshekhar Kotian speaking on the occasion said, “Lobo is a humble person who believes that the entire world is one family. Humanity is his religion. In the past five years, he had done tremendous development work. In this election, I am sure Lobo will win by a huge margin. Lobo has won the hearts of the people for his simplicity, sincerity, and humbleness.”

The padayatra will culminate at the Urwa Market grounds.
