Youth Congress to Hold awareness campaign ‘Bharata Naraluthide’ against NDA Govt
Mangaluru: “The NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to give good governance. The district youth Congress has already started an awareness campaign, “Bharata Naraluthide” (India Suffering) which will culminate on December 9. During the campaign we will hold street plays, LCD shows through Mobile vans highlighting the failure of the NDA government before the people”, said the district Youth Congress President Mithun Rai in a press meet held at the DCC office Mallikatta here on November 28.
Addressing the mediapersons Mithun Rai said, “On December 9, all the Youth Congress leaders, members and senior Congress leaders and ministers will take part in a Torch procession starting from Lalbagh and culminating at the Balmatta grounds. Three years ago the BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi had given a number of assurances but has failed to fulfil them. The sudden demonetization of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 currency notes, the poor implementation of the GST has shaken up the economy of the country. Due to the hike in Diesel, petrol and gas prices, the poor and the middle-class are facing severe problems. Due to GST, everything has become expensive and now when the election is nearing the BJP is fooling the people by reducing the tax on some goods”.
Mithun Rai further said, “Last year during the demonetization people were finding difficulty in getting one square meal a day. To withdraw their hard earned money people had to stand in long queues because of which more than 150 people lost their lives. PM Modi had assured that through the demonetization, corruption, terrorism and activities of the Naxals will be curbed. But in reality our soldiers are losing their lives on the borders every day. The NDA government has totally failed to keep the promises made during the elections. The BJP government has fooled the people of this country” .
Suhail Kandak, Varunraj Ambat, Lukman Bantwal, Shohaib, Samad, Kiran Budleguthu, Prasad Malli and others were also present.
