According to sources, on August 3 morning, while Shekar was transporting a calf, the Sangh Parivar activists stopped the vehicle and dragged Shekhar out. The activists then stripped off his shirt and thrashed him.

Not satisfied with that, they paraded him towards the police station via Raghavendra Math. When the police got the news, they reached near the Math and tried to stop the activists but they did not listen to them and continued to parade him along with the calf. Finally, the police succeeded in taking Shekar into their custody.

In Gujarat, the atrocities are going on Dalits by the so-called Gorakshaks and now a similar incident has happened in Bhatkal which has created anger among the general public.

If anyone steals a cow or is involved in cow trafficking, there are police to take action against them. Why are the Sangh Parivar activists taking the law into their hands and thrashing the people? The atrocities on Dalits in the name of cow trafficking is now spreading to Karnataka? Why are the police are not taking any action against those who violate the law? For any crime that takes place, it is the duty of every citizen to inform the police who will take necessary action. Why is the Sangh Parivar creating divisions among the people? It is high time for the police to take strict action against those who take the law into their hands for the safety of all citizens of the country.

Bhatkal Town Police have registered a case and are investigating.

We are not even allowed to express critical views on those groups. If a person is intellectually honest, he/she will equally oppose right wing goondagiri from all sides. Unfortunately media all over the world has miserably failed to uphold the true values of… Read more »
