Youth Stabbed Following Group Clashes during Diwali Celebrations in Malpe
Udupi: A group stabbed a youth in Bannanje near Udupi on Thursday, November 8 night.
The injured has been identified as Sharath, a resident of Doddangudde near Perampalli. Sharath was a member of a dance team.
According to sources, clashes erupted between two groups led by Sharath and Sagar during the Diwali programme in Malpe. Sagar and his group later followed Sharath and attacked him in front of the Bannanje Society. Sagar stabbed Sharath and fled from the spot.
Sharath has been admitted to a private hospital and his condition is stable.
A case has been registered in the Udupi Town Police Station.
