Youths taken into Custody for Misbehaviour at Kodibengre Beach
Udupi: Youngsters from different faiths who had come to Kodibengre Beach were assaulted by the locals on December 13.
According to SP Sanjeev Patil, 6 youth including 3 boys and 3 girls of different faiths had come to the Delta beach. A group of locals objected to their alleged misbehavior at the beach. The locals informed the Malpe police and the police immediately reached the spot.
The police took all of them into custody. There was a heated argument between the locals and the youth.
The police sent the girls to their respective homes after taking an undertaking from them.
A case has been registered in the Malpe Police station and investigation is on.
