Zubair Murder: Minister Khader warns Pharmacists providing drugs without prescription

Mangaluru: The Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader condemned the brutal murder of Zubair by masked men at Mukkacheri on October 4.

On October 5, in a Press release, U T Khader has stated, “I was shocked to hear the murder of Zubair, he was very dear to me. The police have already started their investigation to arrest Zubair’s killers. People should co-operate with the police and not heed to false rumours.”

Minister Khader also said, “Zubair’s murder should not be politicized. Those who create fear among the people will be severely punished. A team including students, public and the police will be formed to curb the drug menace in the district. Measures will be taken to curb ganja and drug trafficking.”

Minister Khader also warned pharmacists not to provide any drugs or medicine without the prescription of doctors. If any pharmacist is found providing medicine without a prescription, the licence of such Pharmacies will be cancelled”.
